This is the ugliest trade deadline I have ever seen. Literally the worst scenario I could imagine. Not trading anyone would look better than this. Gordon deserved to be in the playoffs again.

The only thing Dallas could get for Kristaps were two bloated contracts from underperforming chuckers.

It wasn't a buyer's market this year. If we traded Gordon for a 2nd and mediocre, non-expiring salary filler you'd be at his neck too. Let's try again on draft night.

Sometimes the best trades are the ones you don't make.

But once again Clutchfans have all the answers. :)

I’m off the Stone wagon. This was bush league garbage. The team is a train wreck.

Exactly. I would rather make no trade than a bad trade.

Well, that can't be true because people were b****ing because we weren't doing anything, either.

I know this is nitpicky, but technically it WAS a buyer's market. It wasn't a seller's market is what you mean.

Maybe teams were trying to fleece us in trades cause they know we rebuilding and Stone wasn't just going to give our players away like that. We moved off Theis' contract and have another expiring one that will either be traded this offseason or next deadline (along with Wall's HUGE contract and Gordon's) We will have a ton of money to deal this summer and next deadline. We rebuilding so no need for us to make a lot of moves right now anyway if they aren't clearly in our favor. I feel bad for Gordon, but hey the contenders chose other options.

i actually think it was an OK sellers market

Spurs got a 1st for thad young
    pacers got halliburton for sabonis
mavs got ok value for zingis .. dinwiddie / bertans are servicable and porzinginis is overratted
utah got a young player for ingles
spurs got a 1st and a swap for derrick white
portland got something other than bad contracts for CJ

    we got expiring's for theis

whatever the price was on wood, i think ida sold ... prolly eric too .

I bet if you searched Morey and all the folks who continued to laugh at him this year for holding simmons, you could fill pages and pages.

In the end it was a perfect example of someone who knows wtf they're doing, compared to someone who absolutely does not here

I’m not as upset as I thought I’d be. He turned dead weight into expiring contracts. Rockets now have $90M in expiring to work with beginning this summer. They just need to draft well and then they could possibly trade for two max players over the next year or sign two or three in 2023.

Remember that even if those two FRPs were on the table, the contracts connected to them may have run longer than next year. I’d have liked to see Gordon moved, but I’m ok with where we are.

The only reason Theis is dead weight is because they don’t know how to use him. Watch, he’s going to ball out in Boston.

Gordon, Wall, Wood, Theis. All the players will talk trash on this team to all the other players. You can’t kill your rep like that and do well when it comes to FA signings.

Mavs got okay value for KP? Dinwiddie and Bertans are terrible players on terrible contracts.

I wish we had gotten some value and a nice landing spot for EGo, but I do not understand the the urgency to dump Wood at all costs. Do people hate him that much that they him off the team for peace of mind?
