so what is the status on Yao? Is he okay? Did he cause more uncomfort from playing to extensively against Germany?

Lets keep this backetball forum about ball, not politics.

    Easy....it's very easy....trust me.

We are all trolls. It just makes discussion simpler if we admit it. When we all agree that responding to anything from a bad journalist in China about Yao is equivalent to responding to a stupid Fran Blinebury article about Hakeem when he's making an anecdote to rate the current Rockets...we all agree....we are all trolls to respond.

no anti this or that...we are all trolls.

and btw...Easy and michecon are my standard....take that as you will. as for translation needs here?...where is windandsea?

so...pryuen..talk to me...us. why exactly did you provide such a provocative title to your thread. you know that is frowned upon here....unlike your regular site....btw: is this a cross post? did you post this at other bbs?

Props to you, as you said, don't care too much about the mistakes, everyone
does. You're the most dedicated Yao & Rox fan I've seen around these forums. Keep your good work!

Did you really read what I posted ?

I chose the title because I do feel that CBA has not been responsible to Yao Ming, and played him too soon and too long. I felt the need to let the fans know, and therefore the title of the thread. As I've said, I never intended it to be a flamebait.

For everything I posted here on Clutchfan site on Yao Ming, most of it are in YMM and RealGM.

We'll probably get the answer from this upcoming game.

CBA has their own reasoning. The games against Germany and Brazil are probably the last chance Yao would play together in real games before the World Championship games, so it must be well utilized. After all, CNT wants to make some noises in this one.

That's easy for you to say, you don't have millions of dollars invested in him for the next few years.

It is not like Les isn't getting his money back on Yao. I'd guess that Yao has made Les enough money to pay his own contract next 5 years.

Rox are in no position to say much because the team played Yao in meaningless games at the end of last season and injured him. It was dumb to keep playing him after his toe injury early on and after he twisted his ankle. Oh BTW, by playing Yao and winning a few meaningless games, we lost our chance on Brandon. It is all STUPID on Rox side.

I agree that CNT should bring Yao back slow, but I don't think they will take the preaching from Rox very well.

Playing Yao in "meaningless" games near the end of last season is far different than possibly bringing him back from a foot injury too early. You don't bench an uninjured player for the final 15 games of the regular season, especially when the guy was showing incredible growth as a player.

It is old topic already. Last year, Yao peaked in early March and he regressed since mid March. Yao did twist his ankel in the game prior to the one that really took him out, that many teams would have used as exuse to rest their superstars when out of playoff runs. JVG did leave Yao in the game for a few mintues after THE injury that forced him out for the season, which was plain STUPID, especially considering how meaningless that game was.

Look, after certain point in last season, JVG kept playing Yao only to save face, and Les let JVG do it to fill the seats. I consider that quite short-sighted too.

Again, I agree Yao should rest more, but don't blame CNT only while Rox should shoulder part of the responsibility for what happened to Yao.

I did take time in reading, i will say i am somewhat of a "troll" on here because i usually only get to post when i'm in the studio but, the way Heypartners response came across was seemed to be quite unneeded. Pryuen even though he doesnt post as much as others is one of my fav. posters we have one of the more significant players from the continent of Asia and he (pryuen) gives us a more intimate look at Yao as the western media doesnt take as much interest in his off court activities as much as the chinese do. Simply put i see it like a man who hasn't eaten in 2 weeks complaining about the food that he is given being cold.

I understand what he was saying about the title of the thread but still it doesnt change the fact that it was accurate, in contrast to what the doctors suggested for Ming Yao.

For whatever it's worth, I consider pryuen the same type of poster as windandsea. They are Yao Ming admirers and simply want to bring news of their hero to as many fans as possible. windandsea stops posting pictures of Yao because there are a lot of other people who do that since the summer of 2002, and since she is not the arguing type, we seldom see her posting anymore.

In the early days of Yao's first year, I tried to do some translation myself. It took a lot of time and effort. (For the record, I was a Rocket fan before Yao Ming was even born. I found this site that summer in search of some info about Yao Ming because I was skeptical about drafting him with the first pick.) I stopped doing translation because there were other people on this site who could do it better and probably had more time than me.

I have a lot of respect for those people even though I do not always agree with their takes about Yao. They are not the proverbial YOFs. They respect this site and they became Rocket fans because of Yao.

Yao is extremely competitive, and he loves to play for China. For the sake of his career, let's hope that playing in these exhibitions wont hurt his long term health. Next couple of years will be tough, national team schedule is hectic preping for the 08 olympics. Hopefully, Yao will be okay.

With all the lawyers and legal liabilities around, American doctors have turned into p*****s. Back in the old country, we'd break a leg, wrap that **** up with some tape and go right back to work on the court.

What happend to the days when men were men?

(I'm being sarcastic, in case anyone missed it)

    ;)
