Ego had some demons tonight but no more relative to everyone else's usage. Missing those 3 free throws were surprising and the pass over GGreens head that he claimed his arm was hit (makes sense but I didnt see it) got in his head. His big ass round head. <3 Ego though.
I said it would be a disaster letting Eric Gordon handle the ball. He has terrible handles and with the Warrior's defense this strategy was doomed. That being said, I cant blame the team for going for it because there is no other option other than JH after CP went down. Eric Gordon is good at two things. Driving the ball to attack the basket or making 3 point shot. Eric Gordon is bad at ball handing and making decisions with the ball.
his handle and passing ability is what held him back from being a star or an all-star. that's why he's a 6th man. would've loved for him to carry over what he did in the first half but it's just not realistic for him. him and harden kept us in it until the 2nd half.
He had quite a few defensive lapses too not switching his man. Definitely got some buckets but between his to’s and losing his guy, he definitely wasn’t a net plus for us tonight.
He let his mistakes get to him at end of 3rd, he was unfocused on both ends of court after that. But short rotation, guys were tired physically and mentally. The D communication went to hell in 4th.
This is what happens when we have to ask someone to do something they shouldn't be doing. I'm not upset with Gordon at all. He did his best, but he's not Chris Paul. I think you have to look at Morey. We need a real backup point guard to fill in for when Paul or Harden can't play. Paul has a history of being injured. Morey I'm sure tried to address this need, but he failed in giving this team the point guard depth it needs.
Good job Eric. Trade value at an all time high. We appreciate the work you have done this year. But injuries will be back soon and it’s time for you to leave after we win the finals.
It was kinda sad last night when it was either Gordon or Gerald Green being the pg when Harden sat for a minute. Green just straight up traveled and Harden for like no rest
