Eric Gordon: We are good enough to be a playoff team.

I forgot to attach the video with my post...it's truly a classic.

It's like someone who never met a black person in their life tried to write what they thought a black person would sound like after winning a game, and then got the least-suitable player in the league to read the dialogue.

 

I enjoy watching this team. MDA was bad for this franchise. Miami, Milwaukee, Toronto (to name a few) all managed to compete while developing pieces. Morey found the talent in Wood, in RoCo but MDA was never going to develop it. There’s also Harden who is partly to blame. His style did hinder some from ever getting the consistent opportunity to step up.

I like that there is someone else stepping up each night to lead the team. I don’t know how well that works in the playoffs but we do have 8 years knowing that one guy can’t do it alone.

Amen brother, I agree with everything you said in this post 100%. MDA was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE at player development with his damn 8 man rotations in October. No wonder why guys were utterly spent in the playoffs. And the heavy iso ball system didn't make it any easier either to develop guys or see what some of the other players could do. I just never thought much of D'Antoni personally as a coach.

 

The problem is.... I don't trust Gordon to stay fit or to play well on a consistent basis. I also don't trust the same from Wall.

 

Lmao Eric is basically CF after a win. This guy will probably disappear next game.

 

I think the Bucks and Clippers can use him, perhaps the Jazz too.

Yeah EG has his highs and his lows. The only reason he isn't a star player is because of his inconsistency.

He's a decent driver, decent shooter, decent defender. But he isn't ultra consistent in anything.

 

I think Gordon can be awesome - he was in NO, IMO. Remember he's coming off of an injury. Also, I don't want to use his time playing with James as a barometer. With James dominating the ball like he did, I am sure it would be difficult for anyone to be consistent, I am sure it was demoralizing also, just ask CP3. So glad this failed experiment of Moreyball is gone.

 

Hopefully he plays himself into a positive asset before he gets hurt again.

I have never hated him. It's just so rare to see him play well. Eric was brilliant against GS in the seven games series against GS. He was much fitter than he is now.

 

They were missing their best perimeter defenders..
