I'm all for making some noise and making the playoffs, but I really think it's better for us in the long run if we sell high on our players. Gordon, Oladipo, and Tucker could really help out a lot of contending teams and we can collect a lot of assets in the process.

 

If we are solid at the defensive end The Rockets could be a playoff team

Imagine Durant having some nagging Achilles thingy that forces him to miss a bunch of games, Kyrie "flat earth" Irving missing a bunch of games because he's a diva (and shooting the Nets out of games when he is playing) and Harden, well, catching some non-life-threatening something from a stripper that forces him to miss a lot of games...the Nets missing the playoffs...for some reason winning the lottery...us somehow narrowly making the playoffs and swapping picks with them...

 

Since Harden was traded he's averaged 25 points a game on 44% shooting from deep...I don't think that or the fact he dropped 50 in his best game ever as a Rocket came without Harden playing.

Aside from the small sample size there, he's been the one saying things like "this isn't fun" in the past and after Harden's trade I believe he said we finally have a direction and team buy-in. Given Harden's childish antics and Morey's ISO ball, I'm going to give him a chance to finally prove his worth as we've seen glimpses of his talent and I hope he will finally break out without the dribble brothers owning the backcourt and touches.
