I’ll never forget that after we win two championships in the legendary red and yellow He made Dream wear a blue clown suit to this day We never came close to a title That Florida man cursed us worse we have so many stupid newbs who don’t know history thinking Les was some houston hero Nah
You could say same about TF. But he broke up that championship contending team instead. Les is far from perfect and he was a Marketing shill but he also hated losing with a passion and he directed Morey to win at all costs even turning over the team whenever he felt team was close to another ring. Under Les, Rockets traded for: Clyde Drexler Charles Barkley Tracy McGrady Ron Artest Kyle Lowery Goran Dragic James Harden Chris Paul And signed Pippen, Dwight, Bev, EGo, etc. Those 2 championships didn't just miraculously drop in his lap. 1 ... maybe. Definitely not 2. And being playoff competitive every season is FAR from mediocre. Not to mention reaching West Finals multiple times. Les also paid for quality role players like Mutumbo, Ariza, Smoov, Lin, LMAM, PJ, etc. TF greatest trades are for ... Russ Westbrook and John Wall. Best signing was Carmelo Anthony, Christian Wood and Daniel Theis. Delicious.
I remember that. I’m pretty sure this was the suit. Dream looked so unhappy running up and down the court in it.
We better trade EG if we want to organically tank -- that brother gonna accidentally win us 5 games all by himself.
Gordon turns 34 at the end of this year and he kinda already blew up. He had the most efficient year of his career in year 14. At 34, in year 15, it's actually much more likely that he regresses from an outlier year and starts to decline. I really wish we had traded him to get an asset back earlier. Now, I kinda want it for him so he can go somewhere else and have a chance to compete for a championship. We're kinda screwing him out of that and a chance to get that last year guaranteed by keeping. We're gonna wave him and eliminate his bird rights
Depends on what you mean by "regressing." Last season, he shot .412 from the 3, one of the best clips of his career. 42.8% on catch-and-shoot 3s. He also had the highest TS% of his career. He's essentially maturing into exactly what we need.
Worse things could happen than us electing to start Gordon and that making it easier on all of our young guys on the offensive end. Id personally rather Gordon over Tate.
Takes reps away from the rookies and sophomore guards though even if he plays at 3 that will eat into KJs minutes and potentially Eason depending where he is come opening game.
crazy thing? I’d swap any combination of my (non-Boj) Mavs, Matthews, Nwaba Inc only up to 75%, rebuild their bench/depth while adding 2 positive pieces.
