Absolutely, but I don't see why Portland would be that when they are desperately trying to compete now with Dame. EG and Dame is an upgrade, but that's their biggest trade piece to add talent.
I would love to have Kemba off the bench & it’s a expiring I’ve though any available money should be towards getting the best veteran point guard we can afford for a 1yr contract. Give KPJ & Jalen what Wall should’ve been behind the scenes as a mentor in kemba Kemba + #11 would be a home run
Agreed. Wood was a cancer for the team. Now we can move forward and build. Rockets were going nowhere with Wood on the roster.
Seems a little extreme, as the “lottery” (which is irrelevant now that the lottery is over) is just 3 spots ahead of #17.
You’re asking a team with the 11th pick to take back an older player and two low 1st rounders in exchange for said 11th pick. If history has told us anything it is going to take more than the 17th and 26th pick to move that close to the top 10 of the draft and Gordon isn’t a needle mover. Otherwise he would have already been traded for a high end pick.
I think this might happen . Danny greens contract, Furkan Korkmaz and pick 23 for Gordon. Greens deal will expire at seasons end and might have some value to a contender by the trade deadline if he we’re to recover by March or late February to help as a savvy vet with championship experience and pick 23 will give Stone 17, 23 and 26 to go deeper in the draft with a trade.
The people who think the Rockets got heisted are only saying that because they see the double double stats for Wood, but never watched him play
Defensively you don't think this roster has a deficit right now? Currently we don't have a defensive player signed that's taller than 6'9" and that's not going to change if we take Banchero 3rd. If you don't want to spend money on Ayton that's fine but let's not act like this team does not need another big.
Eric Gordon, Mavs slop, No. 26 to Lakers for Westbrook, 2027 unprotected, 2023 Swap (Rockets get the best 2 of Rockets/Brooklyn, Milwaukie, and the lesser of LAL/NO swap)
Change in Team Outlook: +1.3 ppg, +2.8 rpg, and +1.2 apg. Incoming Players Will Barton 31 year old, 6-5, 181 lb GF from Memphis 14.7 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 3.9 apg in 32.1 minutes in 2021-2022 Outgoing Players Eric Gordon 33 year old, 6-3, 215 lb G from Indiana 13.4 ppg, 2.0 rpg, 2.7 apg in 29.3 minutes in 2021-2022
They need another big unless you are wanting to just have an exciting team with a ton of minutes going to young players and letting other team have a layup line to get one last high pick next year. After that they will fill the roster to the best of their ability. I think that is what they are trying to do and maneuver. Have that glaring weakness to still lose a lot of games. Then next season defense in.
