Altho EG doesn't start games, if you really look at it EG is playing like a starter/key starter type minutes...even Calvin Watkins joked with EG about it before the actual Q/A locker room interview which you can see for yourself post game and they both laughed cuz in a way it's true.
Watched Eric last nite after gaming being interviewed. What did I like most ? he has TOTALLY embraced coming off the bench, you could hear and see his sincerity to this role. This is exactly the kind of Love Cafe the Rockets have become. Hope that DMo guy doesn't come in and screw it up. ( think Asik...that jerk. karma is a b**** eh ? )
I think a lot of it was because of his tenure in LA and his last year in NY... I think for me, this team's issues last year were more on the defensive end, which are still an issue. Les and Morey basically ignored the glaring problems and focused all efforts and money on offense. In the end I just want to see this team win, so as long as things work out I'm happy.
Pbev does not want to lose his starting role and that is why he is selling the 6th man of the year to EG. hehehehe
Harden is RELISHING having REAL HELP on the court with him. He has no problem relinquishing the ball or scoring duties. I know some feel he doesn't want to do that. But it is clear to me that he will.
EG's 8-12 three point shooting last night was awesome. But the one 2pt shot he made? Sooooo sublime! So choice
I doubt he'll get it. Harden, Curry, Thompson, and Westbrook are locks. How many All-Star selections are there per conference? 12? 15? At the guard position, you've still got Paul, Lillard, and McCollum who deserve consideration. I'm sure there are some others I'm forgetting off the top of my head, but Gordon will have to settle for the 3-Point Shooting contest.
No, it isn't. Just because a bunch of clutchfans thought he'd all of a sudden recover from his crippling alcoholism doesn't mean it was true. Not only that, but the league as a whole considered the ty Lawson signing a low risk-high reward move, rather than a sure fire good player when healthy.
Have to disagree with you. Just like Lawson, Gordon was not a shoe in to make Rockets this good. When Ty was signed, we were immediately ranked high on the contender list not by rockets fans but the whole league. We reached the WCF then added Lawson which was suppose to provide the second punch that we needed. Meanwhile, the best that the Gordon splash produced was a first round exit of the playoffs. Some did not even have us making it. Samples: "Even though the west is loaded, the addition of Lawson and a healthy rockets team, unlike last year, should put them at 58 wins #ESPNForecast" - an espn expert Just in case your memory is failing you, these are the expert's predictions for last year and is primarly based on the addition of Ty - http://www.sbnation.com/2015/10/26/9582350/nba-predictions-2015-championship-golden-state-warriors
Bev is a master salesman and has always been able to sell him starting over better talent. He has future in public speaking/training once his long career as an NBA player finally ends. I'm serious.
I'm happy for Harden because he finally has someone who he can trust to take the offensive load off of him every night. I don't worry as much now when Harden sits on the bench because we have E Gordon to carry us.
Love having both Gordon and Anderson. But I think we paid the wrong guy $20mill. Gordon's been a revelation. Just wish he'd smile once in a while.
