NOW, he is shooting 36% from the field and 31% from 3 with a career low in assists. If he has 4 more incredible consecutive games, he will still be at a career worst on %'s. Another way to look at it is: if Eric Gordon averages for the rest of the season what he averaged all of last season, it would not make up for that "slump". We are climbing out of a hole, and he is responsible for whatever proportion of the blame you find appropriate. Btw, I am very irritated that I took for granted people's assessment that his defense was still holding up. Why do people make sh*t up man. It is worse by virtually every defensive metric known to man. While that's inextricably linked to the team defense, there is no reasonable way to evidence that he's giving as much defensively. Still, I have to say it's a great start. I hope he keeps improving, since he is out of slump permission slips for this season.
