Eric Gordon, who is a huge part of our success, is a good example of a player who can have a fair amount of assist, but not a great play maker. He is a scorer and a good defender. He can make passes against the lesser talented line ups, but not someone that I would look to increase his opportunities to make plays. That being said, I think he fills his role here very nicely.
I think he's capable of averaging 3-5 a game, but he's been pidgeon holed into a spot up role. While Paul and harden should certainly be running the show 95% of the time, our offense desperately needs more dynamism and creativity. Let Gordon run the pnr a couple of times a game, it will keep the defense honest and potentially open up more catch and shoot opportunities for harden.
