    At some point you have to look at quality, duration, variation, collaboration and sales. Clapton has been making consistently great music and selling albums and concerts for 50 years. He works with a lot of great musicians, plays arena rock, blues, acoustic blues, and pop.

    Like Robert Plant his overall career has to be up there in the GOAT.

    I think its like the Hakeem vs Duncan debate. I don't think anybody can argue that Clapton's playing has aged and his longevity blows Page out of the water (Page has the fastest decline of any guitarist I've ever seen), but Page's at his peak was better imo.
