You're right that the ACORN shiny object was leading...but no matter if you know it exists or not, if you followed the election enough to not answer don't know, the first answer is the correct one, here in the reality based community.

It doesn't imply anything. Like statistics, you can make a poll say anything if you present it a certain way.

If Romney won, democrats would be crying about fraud and suppression to no end.

So either the OP is trolling or he is just as ignorant as the ones he's mocking. Or more likely, both.

Umm, not sure if you understand the basics of a poll, but the question and answers were presented are available for you to read. When you ask if Obama was elected fairly, and 49% of people do NOT pick the basic "yes" option, then it pretty clearly implies exactly what I said.

Ah yes, the "both sides are equal" argument that you post all over the place and run away from everytime you're asked to present actual examples of it.

Because if you dont answer option 1 (Obama won fair and square) you are flat wrong and in denial regardless of opton 2's appeal. And frankly I expect better of the 47% of Romney voters.

If about half the Republican party really are delusional idiots who live in a fantasy land we need to change things. The media in particular should take this into account and discredit accordingly

Asking a straight ticket voter if the "other team" won fairly followed with an extreme opposite option is not going to get you a legit poll. Even an adolescent would understand that. Invoking emotions into a poll is a very poor way of polling.

Sure, Major. Let me go ahead and find a parallel universe in which Romney won to prove my point. On a less sarcastic note, try the 2000 election, when Bush "stole" Florida.

What baffles me is that a good percentage of the die heard Democrats/Liberals on this board actually believe that the vast majority of the Republican/Conservative politicians and their constituents are many of the follow: ignorant, extremist, greedy, corrupt, self-serving, thieving, wrong, mislead, racist, ect...

What is even worse is these same individuals believe their party has the best intentions for everyone and the politicians have high moral integrity and would never do anything unethical to get elected. Even the most uninformed voters recognize that the majority of politicians are self serving.

I agree with a lot of the liberal beliefs, I just completely disagree with their arrogant means.

You mean something for which there was actual evidence (of "stealing" if you want to call it that or at least of an unclear result combined with underhanded tactics), unparalleled, historic amounts of controversy not ever seen in any election in 200 years, months of litigation at all levels, had literally dozens of players acting on multiple fronts for months, culminating in the most dramatic, divisive supreme court decision in history...

    vs.

something for which there is no evidence whatsoever, did not happen, and moreover, is not physically possible.

    Cool story bro.

Wow... you are honestly comparing 2000 ("hanging chads", recounts, Supreme Court, etc) with the insane results of this poll? Seriously?

Baffled? Look at the postings of some of the more prolific posters on D&D. I don't think the majority of GOP are "ignorant, extremist, greedy, corrupt, self-serving, thieving, wrong, mislead, racist, ect..." but I do think an embarrassing percentage are. If they weren't, you wouldn't see things like "30% of GOP respondents believe Obama is Muslim" and all of the other birther BS.

It's called data fitting. Just kidding!

Truly, I for one don't think it's the "vast majority," and I would say that a certain percentage are extremist, yes. And then a different percentage are greedy, corrupt and self-serving. And yet a different and larger percentage are misled (with perhaps an overlap here with extremist), and yeah a fourth little part of the ven diagram is outright racist. Then there is the majority that are just good people who go with their gut and what feels right, and usually the conservative cause (self-reliance, smaller government, strong military, etc) resonates best with them. Maybe I would consider them slightly misled, in that Republicans tend to grow government over the last 30 years much more than Dems do, but whatever.

Decreasing numbers suggest natural selection is working.
