    Thoughts, may be spoilerish:
    I've been a bit underwhelmed with the other 2 movies (although still enjoyed them). I think the extended editions are actually more complete and better movies.
    Looks like a big character/drama piece.
    Interesting that there is no Smaug or Beorn.
    Glad that they've included bats.
    Christopher Lee is back! Possibly setting up his allegiance to Sauron.
    I wonder how or if they will tie it in to the LOTR films.

    I will be seeing this at the movies, definitely. I've yet to buy the previous one in 3D.

    I like that Count Doughku finally gets to talk to gay Magneto in this one. :eek:

    I'm a sucker for anything LOTR or Star Wars. I also thought the last two Hobbit movies were disappointing (should've been one 3h movie with a 4.25h extended edition Blu Ray). The soundtracks in particular weren't anywhere as grand to me as LOTR. Looking forward to this next month nonetheless.
