Wow. Famous people bickering over other famous people not wanting to meet them.

Thrilling, shocking, exhilarating, I just don't know what word to use.

Everyone has their own opinion on music, but radiohead shouldn't be putting cyrus or west beneath them. Both those artist are more popular than radiohead ever was. I would like to see radiohead sellout a 73000 person show in houston.

Actually, the only time I hate what the masses tell me I should like is when it sucks.

Agreed. How easy would it be for Kanye to insult radiohead on the basis of relative success in their careers or even make a sweeping generalization about their fanbase (probably somewhat akin to what Radiohead is doing by not meeting colleagues in the music industry)? But instead he and that disney chick whine like prepubescent teenagers and perpetuate this nonsense further.

None of them deserve to "win", though. It's an asshat parade on St. Asshat's Day.

Hey great point. I never thought of the popularity aspect, but now I see.

If you'll excuse me, I need to run to the record store to pick up Creed's greatest hits. Thank you Air Langhi.

Both those artists make music for the specific purpose of selling records to a lower IQ demographic... Radiohead, not so much. The complete lack of awareness of people in this thread is r****ded, I don't like Radiohead but Yorke was right to put Miley in her place and ignore her teenage counterpart in attention-w**** terms "Kanye West". Radiohead is a real artistic product that deeply resonates with certain people, they aren't going to waste time meeting celebs who do things for the purpose of bragging about it to others.

Don't hate on real swag, the kind that emanates from the Yorke's and Kobe's of the world. Hate on that fake, over-compensatory, plastic swag, the kind you get from the Miley's, Kanye's and Nate Robinson's of the world.

You're an idiot. Seriously. Go start a thread about Otis Thorpe.

WOW! That is amazing. Artistry is artistry . .. just cause you don't 'get it'
or don't like it. . . does not make it 'dumbed down'

what next . . . . "you too dumb to 'get' Radiohead"
    or some such . . . . .

just because alot of people like something . .doesn't make it 'dumb'
Just because a few folx like something . .. doesn't make it 'smart'

One is not better or worse than the other. . .they just different

Again, I don't like Radiohead personally. I liked Kanye's first CD, it's one of my all-time favorites, but everything he's done since then has been for the sole purpose of selling records with the facade of being an "innovator". His latest music is trash aside from the production, as is his persona. He turns everything into a dick measuring contest because he doesn't know what to do with the new money and popularity he finally achieved. Miley Cyrus, well, if you take her seriously then I don't what to tell you.

The point I'm making is about the difference between music made to resonate with fans and music made to sell records with a catchy chorus. The latter is targeted at lower IQ music fans whether you want to accept it or not, which is why artists like Radiohead look down upon them. Some people lack the complexity to see this and lash out at the great ones.
