And that these creatures were a contentious group, fighting over every last bit of minutia, as well as who posted what first. Whether the translation was accurate. Who's translation was the most accurate. What color font to use.

Earth would be saved. What alien would want such a looney place?

Whats the big deal? It's not like anybody is being forced to read those threads. It's just as easy to not click and read. Simple as a tap of a mouse button.

I don't find anything wrong with the Yao Ming stuff. I don't read it unless I want to. And judging by the intrest in Rafer's assault charges, the BBS sure as hell needs something to talk about. So why not Yao, beats speculating on V-span's whereabouts, Novak's whiteness or well...we all know Rafer is going to leave, so what's in the details.

imho the yao threads are getting a bit out of hand...i really do not care about his personal life outside of basketball. i do wish he does have a good happy marriage/family as i do with all people but seeing his wedding pictures and all really is going too far in a man's privacy. if there is a article about yao improving his speed through training thats one thing, or making progress with any past injuries for example.

seeing someone at the bowling alley or in a barbershop is one thing but actively posting what is going on in their lives 24/7 is another. tmac's softball event was a rocket sponsored event and had a lot of the team players and officials there so it was news worthy.

there isnt much to be done, sure i dont need to read any of them, i usually dont but they are taking up a sizeable amount of the threads in the garm right now

Yao isn't Paris Hilton, but Clutchfans BBS has turned into TMZ by certain people.

If Yao bring us multiple rings, his son bring us multiple rings, I guess the "Yao is a grandfather" thread will be a sticky.....

If you reply in those threads, then you're no better than the women who claim they despise reading tabloids despite peeking and secretly buying them at the supermarket counters.

I don't see what the big deal is. The Rockets forum was made for this reason. We should welcome more info than suppress it.

if it insults and trashes great players of the past for this organization thats not right. there's a lack of respect, its not misunderstanding either. its Yao > everything
its suppose to be Rockets > everything. even TMZ doesn't drop like 5 to 10 threads of Paris a day. They throw in Linsay and Britney and Alba in there too.
i'm not saying i'm wanting to stop them, i'm just letting them know you go in the paint, Dream is waiting in the middle.

How do you know his marriage isn't for improving his speed? :)

Yao may not be Paris Hilton. But he is certainly Princess Diana of the Rockets.

BTW, tinman, you dislike "Yao > everything" threads. But you seem to do a lot of "past > present" threads. Nothing wrong about it (hey, I'm an old Rockets fan too), just an observation.

    the present = offseason.
when the present =gameday, you'll hear my thoughts

the past (last season) < the past (championship years)
if the future (next season)=championship, then you'll here some praise, but for now its all hope and speculation

its a crapload better than VSPAN or Maliak Badaine > current players
or lets trade for kobe and shaq and magic and michael and larry and wilt and kareem threads

also, the TNT hates the Rockets crap is old. The blindly sensitive people don't know crap about basketball. so they didn't think we would win the championship in the last what? 5 years? guess what? we havent won a championship and I appreciate Charles and Kenny for their honesty.
If Kenny thinks Kobe > Tmac then thats an opinion thats well respected. I don't like Kobe either, but thats a factually statement. Charles even called out Kobe for being selfish and not passing the ball. that's what i like about these guys, they say what they believe in.

I hope in your afterlife, TNT haters, that you get 24/7 STEVEN A SMITH. thats the bottom line!

Are we proposing to ban Pryuen and his  ?

If so, be forthcoming about it. :D

There is no one else starting these types of threads like mad like he is.

Personally I dont mind a bit, not because I am a Yao fan. It is the offseason afterall, what else you come to this board for? They dont televise practices and pickup games on TV, so there isnt much to talk about.

However, the weird ego to claim the credit of posting internet sources here first is annoying.

I agree. to me, a great poster is one who shows his loyalty and knowledge of the game, is witty and entertaining, as well as knowing the inside scoop.
    ..
and lots of pictures and videos! :D

Maybe he is here for a different reason. He makes a damn good reporter though. The guy can piece together unrelated information and get out something from it.

BTW, I am proposing a classic Clutch fan board, just like classic ESPN, so that I wouldnt open a thread, start reading halfway, and only to find out I am reading a piece written in 95.

I think you can piece two things together. Kelly Dwyer from CNNSI posts on this board, he shows his basketball knowledge and is pretty unbiased, he has much better sources than any of us. That other person you are referring has much better sources than any of us, the other two things, i don't know if he's shown his cards. I think that's what gets people here.

The bottom line is that it doesn't matter what a few people think about certain types of threads. If these threads are that bad then Clutch will delete them. In the meantime, if these threads annoy the hell out of you, then don't read them. It seems like I or someone else has to post this all the time in the music threads. I really don't understand why it is so hard for people not to read something that doesn't interest them. This isn't rocket science or advanced calculus.

Yeah, but he is doing it with passion. The guy is always there to cover Yao after every game and never let any Yao news pass without unnoticed( good for some people here). I think he has never claimed that he is a basketball guru, so dont treat him like he is. He is like a gossip columnist that likes credit. If you dont like it, as many said already, dont read it.
