Its been about 30 minutes now....how many people have you thought about over VY? you are going to be on that one all day......pathetic!
Let's see it's been about 2 minutes since the person in the thread above mine brought it up. Either way .......lame smack.
I didnt attend UT. I want what is best for the team and the city of HOUSTON. The TEXANS are in dire need of repairing their image of being LOSERS. They are in a retooling stage, and as long as you are starting from scratch on a coaching staff, why not a QB as well. CARR started as a rookie. nobody minded it then. and to have a QB that just took immortality away from an "unbeatable" team, who is from HOUSTON, why the hell not? as a fan, I want to see VY from HOUSTON, represent HOUSTON. I sure as hell dont want to see him torch houston twice a year while playing with tennessee. do you?
Not sure if this article has been posted or not. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/5234752 Written by a UT grad, no less. Food for thought.
i agree...i don't think that at all. i don't think he will inspire the same fan support that VY will, though. i don't think it's even close.
Geez, VY fans unite! If we draft VY, we are looking at another 3 years, or longer of crappy play and mediocrity. Bush will make an immediate impact. Could VY turn out to be the better player? Time will tell. But everyone knows that there are no sure things in drafting a player. Hell, they could both be busts, and Leinart could become the best player by far in the future. That said, the Texans need a superstar runningback right now more than a superstar QB; especially when even the best QB's have to get their sea legs in the NFL first. Not so with RB's.
The point is, if Vince is drafted by the Texans, then UT fans will be out in force. If Bush is drafted, then UT fans would be upset, but the rest of the city would have the same buzz as it did when everyone was chanting for Bush during the Texans game.
If they both live up to the hype, Bush will make an immediate impact, whereas VY will take a few years. Pretty obvious inference, I thought. Maybe both sides are having trouble reading today.
how would you rate roethlisbergers first year? he almost went to the pro bowl, and led his team to the playoffs as a rookie. I would say that VY is a much better prospect than berger was.
That article is utter bs. I should've stopped reading when he said Young's draft status is based on one game, as opposed to his 3000/1000 season. Even random fans know no one expected him to come out this yr.
wasnt cedric benson supposed to make an immediate impact? what about ronnie brown? those are backs that are workhorses, and still werent able to "make an impact". that should dissolve the "only rooting for VY because he went to UT!" theorem.
