Lol Dmo would destroy Tjones in one on one. He'll jus tkeep drawing charges all day long if he tries to run by or through Dmo and Dmo would score at will on Tjones.

The thing to with them is to just let them dig their own hole.
For example, the other night Jones has a pretty good game against the Heat. All you got from these guys was "any scrub can play like that against the Heat". It's a no win situation.

THIS. Jones could dump 40pts and grab 20 boards against the Spurs and they will still say its a anomaly LOL. The kid can do nothing right or ever shake the LMA playoff performance and when DMO puts up some stinker games (and he will just like all players) then they will say he's still trying to used to his back issues or fire McHale cuz he won't get him the ball yada yada yada. The hate and favoritism in here has become a joke. Hopefully both TJ and DMO can stay healthy for the entire season so this team can have a real shot at playing in June. Go Rockets.

Terrence fans have already dug their own hole and jumped in it and are continuing to try to dig their way to plasma.

Why? Have you seen the Clippers roster? Have you seen our roster? How else can you explain taking less money?

Yes, I'm a true Rockets fan and I want Terrence to succeed because he is a Rocket.

But I'm not going to promote Terrence as the answer or a part of the answer for my team when he hasn't been, when he has failed us in the trenches when we needed him the most, when he has consistently underperformed in the biggest moments and left McHale with no choice but to bump him out of the starting rotation, and clear down to the end of the rotation. Terrence would've been out of the rotation altogether last post season if it hadn't been for injuries. We, as true Rocket fans, can't ignore those performances. This is a team primed to try to win a championship right now. One loss in the regular season could mean the difference between home court advantage or being on the road for a critical game 7 in the playoffs. The margin for error is very, very thin for winning in the West. We simply can't afford to turn our heads and ignore what he has done in big moments against the better teams in this league and think it's magically going to change. That's not a recipe for winning.

0 1 0. TJones stat line in Points Rebounds and Assist in 17 minutes played in Game 5 against Goldenstate. He can go crazy against the Bobcats and 76ers but we need our starting power forward to show up when it counts.

Agree Harden is not getting a pass but he didn't really have a choice other than to create something out of nothing. Because of that all hail Morey for landing Lawson.

    Clutch, himself, put it best.

    Terrence Jones
I came out of Media Day believing that Terrence Jones was ready for a breakout. He looked very solid last season before a couple of fluke injuries and he will have the starting job back with Donatas Motiejunas beginning the season on the shelf. He talked about working on his outside shot this summer, and he hit 4-11 (36.4%) from three in the preseason, but all it took was one stretch of watching him get manhandled again by Draymond Green for me to take a step back. Jones will do well this season — I have no doubt about that — but if you saw him at all in the playoffs last year, you know he needs to step up against the big boys. That remains to be seen.

No sir you're looking at it with blinders on. You just agreed that Jones beat out a healthy DMo twice but now if healthy he wouldn't do it for a third time. Hmmmm sir that makes no sense. Have you ever thought that Jones is our starter and Mchale is not making this into a competition thing like you guys are making out to be. I know y'all feel in love with Dmo's post game. But the facts still remain the same, Jones is a much better fit next to Dwight. And dmo is a force off the bench. That's a good thing so what's the purpose of arguing this every freaking year.

Oh and I think they're pretty darn equal. Just in my book has a slight edge over dmo. But they are in the same tier class.

Exactly this, I remember drop a lot stinkers last season and those jokers came up with all kinds of excuses. My favorite one was, he's not a center and Mchale needs to be fired for playing him out of position. Lol

Not going to look that up for you. You can do that.

But only 4 players from the 2012 draft class have played more playoff minutes than Terrence has:

    1. Harrison Barnes 1298
    2. Draymond Green 125
    3. Bradley Beal 876
    4. Damian Lillard 667

    Terrence is 5th at 574.

The only playoff big man matchup that Terrence enjoyed any success at all against was Glen Big Baby Davis. And that was this last post season, after his devastating injuries. He was obliterated in every other playoff matchup, including Draymond, LaMarcus, Robin Lopez, Brook Lopez, Deandre, and Dirk, so much so that McHale had to take him out of the lineup and figure out how to bring him off the bench to spell the other bigs and not get buried. He couldn't defend any off those guys adequately. He couldn't finish adequately against them. He couldn't rebound against them. And he couldn't throw it in the ocean with his 3-point shot against those guys.

You can very clearly see his efficiency goes down the toilet in the playoffs vs. the regular season. Just look at his efficiency numbers across the board in the playoffs. They are abysmal. Now, take out his regular season games against lottery teams that aren't competing, aren't trying to win and look at his his efficiency gets watered down.

He's just another player, guys. He has no outstanding skills or size. It all comes to bear when we have to go to war in the playoffs.

I just can't anymore with this thread. Geezus its like trying to explain calculus to my 9 month old daughter (who is actually quickly becoming smart enough to pass up some bone heads on here sadly)

Explaining that Terrence Jones is not the worst S#$% to ever walk on a basketball court, and he should NOT be traded for peanuts when we have so many question marks with our big man rotation right now

    does NOT =

"promoting Terrence as the answer or a part of the answer for my team"

There is literally NOBODY on here I've ever seen "Promoting" him as "the answer". I'm pretty sure everyone on this forum was totally fine trading for or signing -

    -LaMarcus Aldridge
    -Kevin Love
    -Chris Bosh
    -Paul Millsap
    -etc. etc. etc.

knowing that it will cost Jones the starting nod or it will cost us shipping him out in the deal to sign a better player.

Idiots on here are creating an argument opposing their argument/agenda in order to validate their own as if there is some sort of crusade they are fighting against... BUT THERE IS NONE. I seriously feel like maybe I'm just the one that is crazy here, and losing my mind like Mad Max in that awesome opening sequence-

Maybe I'm the crazy one for still coming back to this website and driving myself insane trying sustain logic and reason.

Dobro they are set in their ways brother. We've known about their agenda for 4 going on 5 years now. So the best course of action is to completely ignore them. I just can't fathom how can you say, well if DMo wasn't injured Jones wouldn't be the starter. I'm like ok how did you conjure that conclusion up. What evidence out there points to Mchale going with Dmo as the starter over Jones.

And then this nonsense about the Rockets trading him is absurd. Why would they do that after losing Josh Smith and not knowing when Dmo will be fully ready to compete for 30+ minutes a game. Now some are really hyping up Harrell knowing darn well Mchale will send this youngsta to the D league. It is a good chance he finds his way on the 15 man roster because of the injury bug that likes to attach itself to the Rockets. But knowing Mchale history with rookies, Harrell will have to force Mchale to play him meaningful minutes.
