we will make the playoffs and will get knocked out in the first round unless all the peaces connect together and somehow our offense doesn't suck

people are going to be surprised at how good our offense is going to be next year.

brooks improving, scola getting more touches, tmac coming back, lowry with a better J, ariza getting better

we have the pieces to be an above average offense, which is good enough if our defense remains top notch.

Great optimism. This team was built to compete. Last year's playoffs showed that.

Champions and Winners set their expectation High and are typically dissappointed if they don't reach their goals, the opposite of that is too set the bar low, to avoid being dissappointed. That's a huge difference...

19 ppg for Ariza? That's more than doubling his career high scoring average. He is young, but he has been in the league for 6 years already so that would be quite a leap for him, and he hasn't really stuck me as having that much of a 1 on 1 game so far. Hayes bumping himself up to 8 ppg would be more than a 50% increase over his best career scoring average as well. On the other hand you have Brooks prediced to score less than he averaged last year, and he will almost certainly have the most opportunities to shoot with that line up.

If we were players I would agree with you. As fans, our preseason attitude really has no bearing on their performance at all. I prefer to judge the team's chances objectively, even if I want them to win the championship every year and unquestionably will be cheering them on if they do pull off some miracle. Thinking they will stuggle next year does not by any means mean that is what I am hoping for. Certainly if Tmac comes back earlier than expected and is completely healthy that will improve our chances incredibly.
