I would think the Rockets are probably closer to the Lakers than they are to the Bobcats. The Lakers will get it going, but I am not sold on them winning 50 games. The Rockets still look to be a team that will be under .500 by a little. Bobcats....I don't know if they win 10 games even with MKG. I do have hopes that Morris finds some consistency and Jones steps up around mid-season. I think not having backcourt depth will kill Rockets, but I don't think Morey expected the Harden deal.
Not even close. The Lakers are a perennial play-off team at the very least. The Lakers have one of the best players to ever play. You think the Rockets are closer to that than they are to a perennial lottery team? We ARE a perennial lottery team at this point. Morris needs to do more than find consistency. He needs to add more versatility to his game.
Have you been watching. Lakers are 1-4. Rockets are 2-2. It doesn't matter who is on their team. What matters are W's and right now Houston has more. People get caught up in what players a team has and totally dismiss the fact that they should be better than what they are.
It's very funny to me that half of this board is always clamoring for McHale to play the young guys yet the same people get their panties in a bunch after a guy has two bad games. This is what it is to play young guys. Inconsistent effort and inconsistent output. It's why coaches rarely play them. The mark of being a professional athlete is consistency, not talent. Jones had his moment in the pre-season but that is no indication of how he'll play in a tight game.
It doesn't matter. They're the super duper extra special Lakers! With a Howard on top. They should at least be 3-2.
Sad thing is that he is probably the best big man three point shooter the Rockets have now and the Rockets really want a stretch four. Jones and DMo need to get NBA three point range. I'm hoping he is just in a cold streak..I don't expect him to be great, but he needs to keep his man honest.
Actually Jones in preseason was 1-11 in 3 point shooting, Motiejunas was better at 2-5 but he also lead the team in personal fouls.
You sound ridiculous. Have you been watching basketball before this season? Using the Lakers struggles as a barometer for the Rockets is asinine. Do you think that people in Detroit or Charlotte are comforted by the fact that the Lakers are struggling too? You seriously can't understand why the comparison is ridiculous? The Lakers have something to fall back on....Proven Talent... What is your point in saying that we have a better record than the Lakers right now? That we are a better team? That we're going to have a higher play-off seeding????? What is your point with that?
He has been the third most effective scorer in two of 4 games for the team, along with being one of the better rebounders and a few hustle plays that help elevate the second unit.
The Bobcats are a lot worse than the best team in the NBA is good. As long as the Rockets win about 35 games, they will probably be closer in wins to the NBA champs than to the Bobcats.
My point is with the proven talent that the Lakers have, they should be better than 1-4. Weren't they damn near crowned the champions once that trade went down. All the starters have been playing since preseason and they are 1-11 Your problem is you are reading too much into my post. No where in that post did i say the Rockets were better than the Lakers. I just said they have a better record.
Giving him a legit shot before he sending him back to the bench for the season isn't such a bad idea. The rooks will get their chance. And wth is up with Parsons? Dude's lost all confidence, it seems.
