Just out of curiosity, clove, what improvement was on display during tonight's home loss against the winless-on-the-road expansion team?
Get rid of JVG and watch and see the change. Mo T has never played worst. Same can be said for Howard, Jackson and Lue. This is not coincidence. JVG said himself after the game how the team is not playing with heart and passion. D'OH! Isn't that your job Jeff Van Dummy. Afterall if we are not paying him to instill some heart and passion in this team then what are we aying himmfor? If he cannot motivate his players to play for him then what is his job. With Yao and TMac on the team the Rockets have a great future. JVG is not part of that future. In his current role he is basically worthless to the Rockets. The team needs a coach to build confidence in them and not beat them down! Get a good player's coach and change the atmosphere around the team and watch them improve. Do it now before JVG destroys them.
The old JVG has raised its ugly head again. The micromanaging, slowdown garbage which allows defenses to just surround TMac and Yao is back.
Yeah who's gonna listen to you? They're not just gonna fire Van Gundy. Who can we get? It's still not gonna help us rebound. SHOOTING..i don't know everyone's lost their shooting. it's horrible. it's horrible to lose to the bobcats twice..miserable. maybe it's cuz JVG grinds the players and..wow we need to practice shooting. We need different players..change it up a bit.
after 26 games, we all know this group rockets(players and coach) wont make it to the playoffs for sure.... So we only have two choices to make: (1) Trade some of the players and (2) Fire the coach!!! I think all the posters will agree with me that these changes must be made and it must be made soon before our playoffs hope completely disappear.... To Les, please do it NOW!!!!
sad to say but its true. december is almost gone. this was supposed to be the month where we turn it around. we just kept losing every other game. we are a .500 team barring a trade for a rebounder.
If we cant get over .500 with this stretch of games we will not be and do not deserve to be in the playoffs. January is much tougher and its hard to imagine the Rockets catching fire and suddenly jumping back into the playoff race. The Lakers and especially the Nuggets are both playing bad basketball right now. This was the Rockets chance to close the gap and even get ahead of them. Looks like the they blew that opportunity.
Cannot agree with you more. We can still remember when Sura was on the injury list, we had bad defensive rebound problem. We lost almost half of the defensive rebound chances and did a bad defense at the PG's side. Now we've improved at this point. What we need immediately is to get rid of someone like Lue and get a good backup for Sura, or put AB back. We still need someone to backup JJ, who is losing touches as his age is growing. A power forward is the first need of all. At least we should find someone who can rebound and defense, or we'll lost another 2 games against Mavericks for letting Dirk pouring open shots down the court.
The JVG that coached the Warriors game was just a temporary JVG. The JVG that coached tonight's game is the true JVG.
