That is the same thing people said of the 04/05 team... Before the trades, the Rockets weren't even talked about (which is okay since they didn't break .500 until like December) but as soon as they rolled in the playoffs, people took notice. And then when they pushed Dallas to 7 games, everyone jumped on the Rockets wagon.... Let the wagon jumping begin....

I think we can, but even if we don't and just get past the Jazz, I will still be proud of this team. We have made improvement, even with the injuries, and we will be one of the best next year. Its going to take a year or two with this current team to be on the same level as the top 3. Ofcourse I Hope we win the championship, but I am realistic too. This is about being positive man, not realistic.

Then why even watch ? You think we are going to lose to a team that has been struggling lately and dont play much D. If you think that we cant even beat the Jazz, then you might as well just stop paying attention. You have no faith.

They lost in the first round.....and lost game 7 by the worst margin in franchise history in the playoffs.

Just getting close is NOT good enough...IMHO.

I want the whole enchilada, or at least progress towards that goal.

What killed us that year was no answer at the 4 position because Juwan had that freak heart infection that he almost died from and well, after that we had RyBo and Padgett. To say they were playing out of position is an understatement. No J-Ho to play off of. No double team draws which made Yao and T-Mac have to work harder for shots. In the end, no consistent support from the rest of the team KILLED our chances.

I don't want to get into a dispute over this, but IMHO we should have there should have been no game 7 b/c Michael "Goofy-Looking" Finley clearly screwed us in front of a ref who couldn't see a SUV drive past him if his life depended on it. After that, it was a couple missed free throws. So technically, there should never have been a game 7.

Anyways, I just got back from the Rox v. Clips game so I'm going to write a review about it. You should check it out since I was able to get backstage and see everything, including a pre-game gathering by the Rockets that brough tears of joy to my eyes!
