Way better on offense and has to create everything for his team

    All Defensive team caliber player

Wizards have one of best records in the league since January

Has no help from a weak bench

Doesn't take games off to "rest"

    Wall >>> Kawhi.

    He is new MVP frontrunner

Consider if you will a 1:1 swap.

Put Kawhi on the wizards are they .500?

Put Wall on the Spurs and they have a shot at 73 wins.

    Truth.

...For the people who think Kashi Leonard, not even a top 10 offensive player, is the best player in basketball l.

Wall is averaging double double. The only reason he doesn't get double digit rebounds and average triple double is because his team doesn't know how to box out for him like Westbrook's does.

    Did I mention media conspiracy?

If anyone can actually prove to me that Kashi is better than Wall I'm still waiting after all this time.

I feel like the team nobody wants to play come playoff time.

    Feared and unloved

Wall is a good player, but not even in the same conversation as Kawhi except in the OPs fantasy world.

Why not? Have you actually ever watched Wall? He is a beast.

He plays on a team with zero depth that wins anyway, produces more since Kashi doesn't create for his teammates, and is an excellent defender.

Basically he is kryptonite to Kashi.

    I can't prove it.

But let's compare them by the various player metrics out there:

    PER (B-R.com):
    Wall: 22.3, Leonard: 28.4

    WS (B-R.com):
    Wall: 6.9, Leonard: 11.3

    WS/48 (B-R.com):
    Wall: .146, Leonard: .277

    BPM (B-R.com):
    Wall: 4.0, Leonard: 8.1

    VORP (B-R.com):
    Wall: 3.4, Leonard: 5.0

    RPM (ESPN.com):
    Wall: 3.2, Leonard: 6.23

    Wins based on RPM (ESPN.com):
    Wall: 8.88, Leonard: 10.98

    PIE (NBA.com);
    Wall: 15.3, Leonard: 17.9

    Net On/Off Rating (82games.com):
    Wall: +13.3, Leonard: +1.5

Only the last one (Net On/Off rating) doesn't account at all for the player's individual statistics, and Wall does rate higher by that measure. I think its fair to say that the Wizards depend more on Wall to be good than the Spurs depend on Leonard to be good. If that's our primary criteria for MVP, then a case can be made for Wall over Leonard.

But MVP is usually a blend of both impact on the team -- particularly towards making one's team a legit championship contender -- and excellence of play. Leonard beats out Wall on overall excellence of play based on the fact that virtually every player metric that measures individual production gives him a significant edge. And then one also shouldn't ignore that the Spurs are a title contender, and the Wizards are a pretender.

Q: Why are there no videos of Kashi passing?

A: Because he is not as good as Wall.

This is also why Wall is *superior* in points produced to Kashi- the 11th best player at this...lol.

That's because Kashi doesn't play in the NBA

So @durvasa points out all of the metrics in which a player is measured regarding his team winning, and all you can say is "well, Kashi doesn't have more assists and average more points than Wall, so Wall > Kashi?"

    I'll do you one better.

Why are there no videos of Wall playing defense?
A: Because he is not as good as Kawhi.

This is also why Kawhi is *superior* in hand size length to Wall- the 1st or 2nd best player at this...lol.

See? I can take two things that have nothing to do with each other, and try to make a crappy argument, too.

If you're going to seriously endorse player A over player B, then you're not trying hard enough.
If you're actively trying to troll, then you're trying too hard.
