Can't say I blame him. Foreign players have no business in lame Utah. He's quietly putting together a pretty good season. 14-8 on 49% shooting
Utah should try to cash out on him fast. A late first and a role player should do it. The guy plays no defence and can't pass.Like at all. He is a center ball hog. And to make matters worse for Utah he is going to take his QO because noone will pay him the 10+ per he expects this summer.
In any other seasons, I be jumping at the possibility of getting a young 7 footer averaging 14 and 8. Not this season thou.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>One big problem for Enes Kanter, who hopes to be traded, is that there has been little to no interest from other teams, I've been told.</p>— Jody Genessy (@DJJazzyJody) <a href="https://twitter.com/DJJazzyJody/status/565749571725189120">February 12, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
One more proof that every NBA team is high on analytics and that the game has evolved. If this was 20 years ago Kanter would be a high commodity. Now that every team values ball movement and DEFENCE from their center Kanter is a highly flawed player that will fill the boxscore but will stop your team from winning. He is young but there are some things that you are born with or not. Like bball iq and feel for the game.He may get marginally better in team defence but that's it. Not much interest for a young Boozer in this league.
Well, what is Utah even trying to do? They're so irrelevant, I've hardly paid any attention to them (other than to view Gobert's box scores and daydream about him playing for the Rockets). Are they tanking? Trying to cut salary? Trying to accumulate draft picks? Looking for a position specific trade?
So sad we have two tweets in the OP referencing the journalist who broke the story, rather than clicking on the link and embedding the person who broke the story. Anything wrong with quoting the source of the article in the SLC Journal. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>NEW: Enes Kanter said he hopes to be traded before the deadline. Short story here, but more to come. <a href="http://t.co/0rq0egIqF5">http://t.co/0rq0egIqF5</a></p>— Aaron Falk (@tribjazz) <a href="https://twitter.com/tribjazz/status/565740484341927936">February 12, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Utah? they are rebuilding. They have one of the best young cores out of rebuilding teams and their future is bright. If they were in the east they would be in the POs imo. The problem is that they have one of the best youngest frontcourts but the worst backcourt in the league.( or second depending how you view Miamis). So what they would be looking for would be picks or young pg prospects OR a good pg who can teach Exum. If Morey even dangled the NOP pick Utah would complete the trade in a nanosecond. No returns.
Only thing holding teams back is that extra year Kanter has left on his contract! As terrible as some may say Kanter is he can't be any worse than what Dorsey is. BUT! Morey won't go after him due to that extra year he'd have to pay him.

Problem with Kanter is that while he will give your team 15 points in the post, he will give the other team about 25 points.
