Same thing happened in Texas in 2010. Bill White got every newspaper endorsement except the one from Perry's hometown. Clearly didn't mean a damn thing when it came to the election.
Um, excuse me, you are citing a Republican caucus endorsement for why a general election endorsement from a liberal newspaper is not a surprise? Surprise, you are totally off base. You are also parroting what you heard from the Obama campaign on this point. They are trying to minimize and distract from this very important shift from a critical vote influencer in a critical state. Notice how ugly the Obama campaign has become recently. Negative, divisive, focused on trivial distractions, angry. Campaigns that think they are ahead don't act that way. Neither do respected Presidents.
Yes, you are right. It's a total surprise and such a shock, that everything that was true before is now completely the opposite. What an amazing earth shattering change of events! Good job keeping Liberal Fools honest about this. What an amazing campaign revelation. The day after the voting when they are talking about what happened this is the event everyone will point to.
I know you are mostly a fictitious character but for the elucidation of others I advise you actually read the Des Moines Register endorsement which I linked to where they list their endorsement of Romney in the Caucus as part of the reason they are endorsing him now.
This was the first time they've endorsed a Republican in 30 years. Yes, you read that correctly, 30 years. It's a liberal newspaper that has soured on Obama's 'leadership'. And endorsing Romney above Santorum, Newt, et al, has no implication whatsoever, on their general election decision... as you are likely aware.
