So true. I said at the time this was a horrible trade for them.

Their 2007 record prior to the Kidd trade: 35-19

Their combined 07/08 record since the Kidd trade: 19-21

Jason Kidd is the reason of their demise. They miss Devin Harris.

dirk is the reason for their failures, always has been.

And, superden, thanks for reminding me that. I still remember how a lot of people said they wouldn't make the trade if they were dallas either, lol.

The Mavs are going through the same thing the Rockets are.....chemistry issues.

    Gerald Green is their answer.

theyre still good but from now on they should be on the decline. they need inside scoring and never got it prolly cuz they wasted their pick on dirk. nah, didnt waste anything, dirks a baller, but they need an inside scorer.

but even if they do get an inside scorer they cant win a ring. west is too daam good. rox, lakers, spurs, jazz, hornets are all better than them.

Man, they are really having some problems. I'm loving it though, don't get me wrong.

Nothing better than seeing a Dallas team fail. :D

Who'd have guess that through 8 games, the Mavs would be 2-6 while the Spurs are 2-5.

If Gerald Green is their answer, they are in some deep deep trouble.

I reckon this is a straight rip of the Chappelle show skit with Dave in the courtroom...

Who would you go for (and at what price) if anyone of the followings was put on the table?

    - Dirk
    - Josh
    - Jason Terry

Honestly I don't like anyone above, if their Manager rang in for a trade, their only player I'm interested at is Brandon Bass.

i'd be pretty tempted to go after Dirk... one of the best shooters in league. just play Hayes when need defense. id give up scola and some filler for him.
    never goin to happen though.

btw: i think Bass is pretty much on par with Landry.

It appears to me that Landry has been slacking after he got the contract. I hope I am wrong.

I think they'll get better. But, they aren't what the used to be. They are a bubble team.

    big mistakes:

    letting Nash walk
    trading Devin Harris for Kidd
signing Diop to a huge contract this summer
letting Dirk decide what is good for the team
    Hiring and then firing Avery

if cuban was to blow up the team I'd go after Diop for a backup C he is pretty good in the paint in rebounding and intimidating shots.

the only problem is that he was given a terrible near full MLE contract this past offseason.

other than that no one on the mavs seems worthwhile for me to want the rockets to take a chance on.
