The Astros just played in the ALCS with 2 of their top guys missing most of the season and plenty of young guys stepping up. That's definitely is not a shame.
It isn't. But there's definitely an air of uncertainty on the financial end and FA. Springer I'm 95% sure is gone, Verlander may have played his last games as an Astro, Cole went to a rival and as much as we want him to suck there he probably won't (but it was fun seeing the Rays off his team), and people are already talking about how they should trade Correa and get some picks out of him. They have a chance to be great next year, but it doesn't feel as sure of a thing as it would say, going into the 2019 season.
