Dealing with the same thing now -- my great friend Marley now 15 may have cancer. He is up and down lately -- really down a few weeks ago then he came back strong, but has been feeling bad the past couple of days. Sorry to hear about your cat giddyup -- pets are always a surprisingly tough loss to deal with.
RIP Zeke. It's always tough to lose a family pet. Luckily my family has been blessed with some long lived cats. Flash made it to 18, Merlin to 16 and now Buzzer, who's pushing 18. She's loud, cranky, and beats up on the younger cats, but she's showing definte signs of age. We have a vet's appointment set for Monday and I'm worried about the potential news.
I just saw this giddyup. So sorry to hear about it. It is always tough to lose a pet. It's happened to me more times than I care to remember.
Sorry to here the news, giddyup. We are bringing our first kitten, post-children (ages 7 & 5), home this Saturday. A light-orange and cream colored mixed male named "Dreamsicle." Of course I wanted "Dreamshake" or just "Dream" - but then his coloring looks too much like the orange and vanilla ice cream... so I'll use Dream for short. Here's a shot of him and his littermates.. We got a miniature poodle last September and I wouldn't mind getting a cat. But my wife and son aren't interested. Oh well.
We're going to bury Zeke in the morning. My oldest son is coming over for the graveside service. We are going to place him underneath the shade of a tree.
Gee, really sad for your loss giddyup, I've never owned a pet before, because there are all kinds of regulations and whatever that you have to pay, plus just keeping it is expensive. You guys are lucky to have a pet to begin with.
