I think it's really simple, you play 2 of them at a time one starter and one backup. The one playing better starts. If the backup is not playing well, you shuffle him out and bring your 3rd string C in.

Bruno is still young enough to improve and develop, just not as much as the other two. You don't shut him out. You don't give him minutes on a gut feeling either. As soon as there's rest needed or one of the other two doesn't play well, you give Bruno his chance to steal a spot. He's been a good soldier and the team seems to really like him too.

Yes I know we're all for the future but if someone is playing really bad or undisciplined for a while or for example if Garuba goes back to poor %'s on offense or Sengun can't stop fouling and isn't scoring, you have to give Bruno an opportunity.

RIGHT NOW THOUGH, it has to be Garuba and Sengun. They're both exceeding their season expectations and we are most invested in them with extension decisions coming up in a year IIRC.

Yep develop the players we actually drafted.
Bruno can have some mins but prioritizing him over the other two is just prolonging our rebuilding process

I like Bruno as a starter TBH. Plays better defense than Sengun. Creates more runouts, blocks, etc for the offense. Sengun should get the bulk of the minutes and finish games though.

We saw Dream's influence on Sengun against OKC. Those of us who watched the game know which play I'm talking about. Heck, the broadcast crew jumped out of their chairs. It was beautiful.

Nice read by the OP. While we need to remember that OKC is not a very good team, they've been playing .400 ball, 5-5 at home and 3-7 on the road. Better than us, although we've been improving. So we gave them a puzzle they couldn't solve and Alperen was a big part of it. Fun to watch.

Thank you for the first solid contribution to the discussion, took only 1+ page ;) Good to bring up extensions, but most importantly the chance to take minutes if one of Garuba or Sengun stink up the place. They should all be fighting for playing time so keeping them on their toes is good. I chose Sengun, but definitely had my share of games where I was wishing he’d be subbed out. Still I wouldn’t even think of Sengun getting DNP CDs, even if he played poorly, unless it’s like 2 months straight of piss poor play.

Sengun is playing great. If the question is "who is a better player right now" the answer is simple.

But if Sengun can be more of a focal point in offense off the bench, then why not? I don't really understand the drama... He would probably play 25+ minutes anyway (ie the majority of the C minutes)

Sengun is clearly the best overall player of the three, and Garuba is your defensive stopper who rightfully should come off of the bench, so it’s realistically between Sengun and Bruno and which of the two has the better chemistry with the rest of the starters. Bruno doesn’t need touches, and there are only so many shots available. That’s basically the only reason I can come up with as to why you would start him over Sengun. I’d personally like to see them shift this mindset slightly and acquire a less ball dominant PG, move KPJ to the bench, and allow Sengun to do his thing starting along with Green and Smith. I don’t think they want to do that though. This organization loves combo guards too much.

So why do you prioritize a guy you drafted over a guy that might be better?

Do you feel the same way about KPJ and Ty Ty?

    Or Josh Christopher and EG?

if you drafted somebody has nothing to do prolonging a building process should we never try and trade for better players or sign free agents since the drafted players are a priority?

Bruno isn't better than sengun. It remains to b seen if he's even better than garuba. Hence waste of time giving starter mins to Bruno.

Garuba and sengun are 1st round picks and they deserve the mins to develop. Otherwise what's the point of drafting rookies? U develop your rookies and if they aren't the one u trade them for a better player.

U draft to find your foundational players. After u find them and develop them, u go sign free agents. Bruno right now is insurance In case of injuries to sengun and garuba, he aint in the rebuilding plan.

Ima ignore all that gibberish about tyty jc, kpj and eg cause I do not get what u are even trying to say.

    Bruno fans wild lmao.

Obviously Sengun is the best option as he’s the most talented and it isn’t close.

As a huge Sengun fan he's obviously my answer. Having said that...

I know Silas claims that Fernando is necessary to help our guards but I don't even think that's true. Just for reference, if you look at all 2 man lineups (min 50 minutes) this year, KPJs worst lineup is KPJ+Fernando at -21.3 net rating. Not just worst center pairing, I mean literally his worst on court partner for the entire year. And Jalen Greens worst lineup is, yep you guessed it, Green+Fernando at -15.8. So I'm not even buying that Fernando is the best option to help our guards succeed. Green and KPJ both play best with Garuba, so if your goal is for the guards to excel, I think he's the guy you start.

    Anyone but Fernando.
