I respectfully disagree sir. I like Manu's game but I've seen him flop into thin air too many times and whine like a b**** too. I think he's a great player but the antics are a hindrance to the game. I've seen Luis do it with FAR less frequency than Manu is known to.
my trade scenarios every off season have been with the intention to help the spurs out: Tmac for Manu, parker, and the rights to tiago. Manu, next to shane, is one the few players that can get under kobe's skin. He would be great coming off the bench here.
Would love Manu as a Rocket, but I think he's a Spur for life. But then again, Karl Malone was a Laker for a year, and Hakeem wore Raptor purple, too.
I am envisioning that Scola, Manu, Shane, and Hayes are flopping at the same time over the same play, and Yao is trying to draw a charge at the same time. Wouldn't that be fun?
if manu could stay healthy he has everything we need in the wing 'closer' we keep talking about - he is so clutch and was the closer for the last two spurs championships. if manu had been healthy last year (08) the spurs would have beat LA and likely the C's. this year i dont know, but they certainly would have beat the mavs.
Yeah, Manu iis > than Man U was yesterday, but he ainta comin' thru the Toy Shop's doors to the home locker room. Scola? Of course he's coming back. But he will be paid. BTW - what would Delfino's rights 'cost'? (Does Toronto still have Garajosa's rights? What is his Euro contract situation???)
their way of thinking is the same when it comes to flops, the difference is scola has to sell it less since in the post the off player is already pushing, but on the perimeter they aren't, so manu has to flop better, but i think the frequency is the same...also consider Manu's english is a lot better, while Scola's isn't so he doesn't have as much to say to the refs, he can't express it as well as manu..
That is incredibly stupid logic. Manu whines more because he speaks better English? Laughable. You can't tell me he and Scola are virtually the same. I don't buy it.
Most likely as for what i was reading at the Spurs boards they are looking at a backup PF with athletic skills and a big SF, so if Morey is able to resign artest at a right deal and you add Landry, you will be getting Ginobili via trade most likely. If he fails to stay healthy, between him and T-Mac that´s 33 millions in expirings, if he does play well, we will have bird rights on him. I´ve seen manu in some interviews over here and he seems very confident on regaining his level and doesn´t had negative opinions about his injury being chronical or to be threatening his career.
Not the same man, Manu has stayed healthy for most of his career he had only two major injuries and only one of them requiered surgery, while tmac has had numbers of surgeries. Not to say that Manu is willing to start, come of the bench, shoot less, play d, a lot of things that T-Mac cannot do. T-Mac is a volume shooter while Ginobili is a team player, also he is used to play a lot less than T-Mac and be effective in that time, so he has more chances to stay healthy than T-mac who needs around 40 mins per game to be effective and 25 shots. Look at Hollinger´s PER numbers Manu has been top 5 SG in the league for the last 4 years.
That'd sure be nice, but as a few others have said here, it's tough to see Manu being anything but a Spur. Time will tell.
Manu and Scola are exactly the same in that they will do anything - including flopping at minimal contact - to help their teams win. Scola is equally frustrating for the opposing team's fans as Manu is for us. Scola's flop frequency is also quite similar to Manu's. With that said, I would love to have both on them on my team. Manu is a competitor and winner of the highest order, and such a complete basketball player. With a healthy Manu in the place of Artest, we win it all!
Prigioni was and is his teammate when he played for TAU and for Argentina. That's how Scola can be improved for next season. Bring over Prigioni to the Rockets. The Rockets tried to sign Prigioni this season but he was still under a contract but he'll be a free agent this off-season.
Ehhhh I don't know I am pretty sure that he said in the place of Artest. If Ginobli was a free agent this year like Artest I'd be all over picking up Ginobli and letting Artest just walk away.
