Resigned pessimism. The political game is so depressing.

Sorry, can't. I have a Business Law test at 8PM after my Accounting class. I would love to, but will be catching the entire game on ReplayTV once I get home. Only after the game will I check the political crap. Maybe it will be so one-sided that they will announce the new president during the game.

I am planning to take the light rail down and be there with you fellers. I do not think it would be a good idea for me to stay home alone tomorrow night and watch the returns. The Rockets party at Live is a great idea, and barring unforseen circumstances, I will be there!

Ughh, I wish I could meet you guys up there. But instead I'll be boarding a flight in a couple hours for Bartlesville, OK....yipee! Not only will I miss the chance to hang with you guys, I won't even be able to watch the game!

Of all weeks they had to pick this one to send me up there for training.

I think tomorrow's game is on ESPN, dude. Bartlesville doesn't have cable?

EDIT: Check that. Game is on TNT.

Oh sweet, I didn't know that. I'm sure they'll have TNT in the hotel room. If not I can go to the one sports bar in town and ask them to put it on.

Sorry guys for straying off topic and including some actual Rockets talk in here. Please proceed with the flinging of the poo. :p

Honestly, the test isn't stressing me at all. I got a 128 (out of 100  ) on the first test.

Bartlesville?!?!? What are you doing up there. I have family in Bartlesville and Dewey. I'll bet you thought no one else on this board had even heard of Bartlesville. :D

Sorry I can't come out there and join you guys. I'm going to miss the game as well as the election crap because of a rehearsal I can't get out of. Trying to break in a new singer.

I definitely want to catch some games with some fellow bbs folks this year....as long as R2K will actually flag me down this time. ;)

Why can people just go and offend another poster as long as his name is TJ, and nobody seems to have a problem with it? That is wrong.

    cheer up:

Every time the Minneapolis or Los Angeles Lakers have gone to the NBA finals in an election year, win or lose--and it's happened seven times before, in 1952, 1968, 1972, 1980, 1984, 1988 and 2000--a Republican has gone to the White House. This year, of course, the Lakers lost to the Detroit Pistons in five games. The Pistons (then of Fort Wayne, Ind.) were also in the finals in 1956, the only year a Republican won the presidency without the Lakers making it to the finals.
