I rented 8 Mile this weekend and didnt see what all the hub bub was about. I thought the movie was OK at best. The whole theme of the movie was kind of silly. Am I missing something here????
I know that. I watched a replay of the awards last night. I was not necessarily referring to the award he won, but rather, to all the rave reviews that this movie received as a whole.
You know on Eminem's next album he is going rap about winning a Oscar and the look on Barbaras face. Can't wait.
Did he not make history last night? First Rapper to ever win an Oscar? I did not watch it did Eminem appear to pick up his award? what did he wear if he did?
Saw it in the theatre, totally agree. It was ok, but nothing special at all... I liked Mikhai Pheipher(sp?) much better than Eminem.
It was amazingly low key. Some guy picked it up for him wearing a pistons jersey, some jewelry, and a business jacket. He was ssociated to the song. I was hoping Hand that built America would win because it kicked but. However, U2's song was poorly used in the movie and never developed the story like it could have.
