Tilman did set the franchise back a decade when he went cheap on restocking a 60+ win team with vet minimum guys ..... but I think that taught him a critical lesson early on - he doesn't know everything about everything, and he needs to let his basketball people do their jobs and not be cheap about it. Since that fateful offseason, he's done just about everything right, allowing the tank to continue on its projected course and not forcing them to sign veterans just to win 40 games and lose in the first round .... He paid John Wall a hundred million bucks to go away. He bought draft picks too .... We'll have to see if he really learned the lesson when it's time to pay the luxury tax .... but for the moment, I'm inclined to believe he learned his lesson.
