Big cry baby over here. Get with the times. It's not the 80's or 90's anymore. Yeah so SA won the championship THIS YEAR. Miami has won back to back 'ships and have been to the finals the last four years. They obviously have built the best model to win now. Better than SA, better than anyone. Why not copy their model and IMPROVE it. You can't even argue with me. It's a fact. The mathematical rate the Heat have reached the finals and won is better than any team in the league. 4/4 finals visits since they've formed and 2 'ships. As a fan of Houston and the Rockets I want to win a championship and could care less about the sacrifices it takes to get there. Put on your Duncan jersey and get the **** outta here with this fair-weather fan BS.
I'm embarrassed to be an American after reading the kind of thread my fellow countryman is capable of starting.
I have been a fan of the Rockets since 1986. I love the way this team is going with the exception of coaching so far. If we get one or possible two more stars on this team this off season, I will even forgive our coaching situation. Talent trumps all...IMHO.
I hope someone mentioned this, but San Antonio basically took advantage of a flawed system when they got their #1 pick that turned into Duncan. I can appreciate what they did after to stay at the top for so long, but that was a 60 win team that was given the #1 pick. They was a huge break and the foundation for that roster for over a decade.
You wanna build thru the draft? Become a Cavs fan... 3 top picks in the last four years and look where it's gotten them!
A fan for 15 years huh? That would explain a lot. Anyway, OP I get what you're saying, but this is equivalent to saying I'm embarassed to be an American because I hate Obama.
Go cheer for San Antonio, then. After their big three retires, post in their forum how you are embarrassed to be a Spurs fan. Most GMs and owners are probably drooling of envy right now of how Morey transformed this team from mediocre to contenders (arguably) in 3 years and remained in positive cash flow even while rebuilding.
