I have been a rockets fan for the better part of 15 years now and I hate the direction the team is heading. We've basically just turned an organization trying to buy the best players available (no better than the Miami Heat). The Carmelo poster made me sick, not because it showed him wearing Lin's jersey, but how much the Rockets organization is sucking his dick in attempt to get him to sign. Even when Miami recruited the big 3, they did it with way more class then the Rockets are showing. A player being recruited like that will have the mentality that he is bigger than the team, and especially with Melo - inflate his head more. The Rockets aren't going to win anything like this. What happened to getting a franchise player, building around him through the draft, hiring a great coach and putting in a system where players can flourish? Oh yeah SA does that and just won the NBA Championship.
I find it more embarrassing that Rockets are basically making zero moves while every other contender in the West is making smalls moves to actually increase depth. While Rockets gonna throw that all away for someone who "might" come. And somehow McHale is still gonna be coach. Apparently what he has shown the ability to coach multiple star level players to share the ball together instead of it being an iso fest.
How did San Antonio get their big 3? through the draft yah thats right. Also I didn't even mind getting Howard and Harden those were building blocks. But now its like we want every good player available and that's the right way to win. It isn't
