    Cuttino Mobley
    Glenn Rice
    Eddie Griffin

    For

    Elton Brand
    Keyon Dooling

I really see that since Maggette is going.

Andre Miller(Probably will goto jazz but i doubt it)
    Cuttino Mobley
    Lamar Odom
    Eddie Griffin
    Olwankandi

Looks good on there end but are end too

    Daniels/Dooling
    Francis/Peeler
    Posey/Nacbar
    Brand/Taylor
    Ming/Cato

If any team offers Brand the max, the Clippers will match. They have a 5 year max k on the table as it is. You guys are grabbing at straws with this one.

Odom will also be matched if anyone offers a contract. I don't think any team will offer the max.

Maggs will probably goto SAS or Denver as Sterling won't match.

    Kandi is unrestricted...still deciding.

Miller is restricted but the Clips will probably let him go.

Probability of S&T w/ Clippers? Almost zero because Sterling would rather lose these potential huge contracts than trade for their equivalent of Glen Rice? Come on people, G Money is untradable.

First off Rice is tradeable and we might see teams go for Sign and trades once the dust settles and all the marquis to mid-quality players are gone. Why? 2004 free agency, and with Rice's Huge contract ending, teams might be eager too do a sign and trade, however, there are other contracts expiring that are worth more, The Dream's Contract. But what makes a sign and trade with Houston Desireable, is Eddie Griffin and the Cat due to his bargain salary(need a comparison try the Knicks entire Roster ;) ). If we want Brand, one he must voice interest, private or public and he must do whatever it takes to Let Sterling let him go. For Brand, he must also see what the Clippers are going to do before he signs, if so maybe we can get him next year if he is in our Interest, but the Status Quo Has him staying, but look the media has been truly off the offseason with free agent talks, only local news sources seem to be the most accurate, like Jason Kidd and P.J. Brown. It is even hard to find any source, besides those in N.O. stating he would stay in N.O.

The question really comes down to this:

Will Brand take the money from the Clips and be locked down with that franchise for a long time, or will he tell Donald he is going to sign the 1 year deal and walk?

If he tells Donald he is gonna sign the 1 year deal and walk, he may get Donald to S&T him.

Basically, Brand has to choose like Malone and Payton are choosing. Money or chance of winning?

Unless Donald really commits to building the Clippers and give him the money to boot. Which would be a total change of character for Donald.

Brand will consider injuries. Huge factor against signing a 1 year deal when a max is on the table.

Now Brand is likely to go to Spurs. With so much cap room and no big name player signed yet, Spur will likely to get Brand. Maybe they will even try mailman. If he joins Spurs, he will get a ring, and he will be paid more than 1.5mil. But lakers already got Payton and mailman publicly stated he would go LA if Payton goes. I don't know if he is willing to retract that.

So, you are saying that this is a rumor passed to someone by Postolos's baby.

Not before he signs the contract. But yes, mailman is mostly likely going to LA since he already said that. I bet he didn't think that Spurs will have a lot of cap room and he can get a ring with them and get paid well too. Again, a great job done by lakers. starting early is the key. You will see the big winners of this offseason are Lakers and Twolves. Nets do fine but they are not wining a championship no matter what.

Yeah, he'll consider injuries. And he'll also consider being stuck in stinkville for eternity too.

He'd really like to have his cake and eat it too. Sign a max deal on a team that is going to be a winner. Him and his agent are smart enough that before he signs a deal he'll know whether he's just playing for big bucks with no chance of winning, or whether he's playing for rings, or both.

So, to get both, he has to get a commitment from Donald to build the Clips. Depending on how much commitment he gets from Sterling, he will then have to decide, 1 year deal risking his health for the freedom to be maxed out next year with the team of his choice, or take the maxed deal or semi maxed deal from Sterling for his family's financial security.

If he doesn't get the commitment from Donald that he is looking for, my guess is he at least tells Donald he's gonna sign the one year deal and walk, to put the pressure on Donald to S&T him.

This is really Sterling's watershed moment. Is he gonna change spots, or is he the same old Donald. If he's the same old Donald, then the odds favor a S&T or a 1 year deal like Olawakandi did.

Let's not have a Rockets' inferiority complex. I'm no homer, but it's no given that Brand will go to the Spurs. The Clips can match any offer extended to him, or bluff their way into making teams pass on him. The Rockets, however, could maybe possibly land Brand, depending on the Clips' opinion of Cat and EG.
