For reasons I'd rather not explain, I'll just say that dtransitioning is a real thing. The idea that the ultimate way to "explore" your sexuality is to actually become a man or a woman. Many trans-people go into this with the idea of proving they aren't "basic," only to end up regretting thier decision. I am not saying elliot page will be that, but he is extremely ingrained in social justice and liberalism to the point of no return. I just hope he doesn't regret his decision.
I wonder what the 'feeling' is that pushes people to switch teams -- like is it an internal nails on chalkboard type situation driving the person crazy or something more subtle?
I don't have an issue but I think it's up to the businesses. It's amazing how it's not even a thing now, I think that one issue was bridge to far and led to Trump being elected. A lot of people got way to far over their skis on that one on both sides. It was much ado about nothing.
Female to male generally go fairly well appearance wise, but male to female especially late in life... I don't understand how that move would make you feel better about yourself.
I'll share my story. In high school, near the end of the year when they hold a ceremony to reward students with scholarships, I was rewarded $500 from the school for a girl's scholarship along with 3 of my female peers. As a biological male, I was confused but willfully accepted money because $500 is $500. I guess I identified as female that day. Now that I am back to identifying as male, I understand the confusion with one's self identity and am supportive of Elliot.
From the docs I've seen, ppl say they feel absolutely misplaced in their old gender's body and get miserable. Starts with the clothing etc and then progresses to wanting a full transition to feel like they're a real man/woman.
He's a rich, white male now. He's evil patriarcy. Will be campaigning for Trump's 2024 campaign by they time he's done.
So is Page going to continue to play roles that are really female or is he going to play male roles or do both? Is he going to try to look more manly or keep the long hair and wear makeup? And someone said this earlier, but I understand the concept of he becoming she and she becoming he but I don't get he or she wanting to be a they/them or an it.
Page will reprise the role of the cis female Vanya Hargreeves in Netflix’s comic book show ‘Umbrella Academy.’ The series’ producers have no plans to change the character’s gender, Variety reports. https://www.rt.com/usa/508564-elliot-page-play-female-umbrella/
