V-Span certainly turned it over, but I contend that he was a rookie and would get better at turning more positive plays. Look, I have done this ad nauseum......no need to do it again. DD
Everyone says how Adelman's offense is challenging cuz it takes away some player's strengths to form fit into a concept. And in comparison how Van Gundy's offense, though scaled down and simplified, how it was easier for players to grasp. And took strengths away from players. Van Gundy wanted to pound the ball into Yao, and turn slashers & known outside shooting "marksmen" like Bonzi Wells and Spanoulis into spot up jump shooters. And we already talk enough about Rafer. Please now, Spanoulis coming back is like Marbury going to the next team D'Antoni coaches.
Is this true? http://bbs.clutchfans.net/newreply.php?do=newreply&noquote=1&p=4076753 Is he shooting in 6 games 71.4 FG% but only 63 % from the line?
Just for giggles. Turnovers per game in NBA So, as you can see, the best most aggressive players turn it over more often. Which is not a bad thing.....if they have more good plays than bad. DD
Wow, he is a lot stronger physically than two years ago when we first drafted him. I like his handle. Strong dribble with a purpose. Impressive. Looks to be real athletic in the Euroleauge. However, the highlight didn't show if he has a mid-range game. I assume he needs to develop that. Without it, he can't play in the NBA using his quickness. He needs to have the mid-range game.
For now. But Yahoo D I know sorry) is a project, because he wouldn't contribute right now anyways. I don't know if we will extend Tmac, and how much if yes. Scola probably won't resign for peanuts once his current contract is up. So this Yahoo kid can be useful. I see him a PF/SF kind guy. Again, he needs to learn how to shoot. Otherwise, I wouldn't even have him here in the summer.
No one's arguing that...it's just that VSpan had a rate of about five bad plays to one good play. There was no future in the league for him and looking back, getting Scola for him...wow. Morey is magic.
You know, you posted earlier in this thread "no need to do it again" I believe that I speak for all of western civilization, when i say: I agree. STFU.
Eliyahu should be an Small Forward in NBA, here's where he could give us something different. He's a GREAT player at intangibles, he's very good at the offensive rebound, at the fastbreak, defending... He's like a poor Kirilenko. Or Ariza... that type of player. He has no 3 point shooting, short range.
Does anyone here have the scoop on European basketball? Most people on this board can watch all the NBA and college hoops we want, but overseas basketball just isn't available (not that we'd be interested). It'd be nice if someone here had some insight on our overseas prospects or potential free agents.
thank god we don't have V-Span here anymore. that fool came in expecting to be a superstar right away. Eliyahu, i think, can be a good player here and can contribute right away. a small forward who can score would be good coming in off the bench.
Eliyahu is an awful player. He has no shot (not jumpshot) and can only penetrate to the basket. His defense is the worse you will see ever, and he hasn't improved any aspects of his game in the last 3 years. On top of that, in the nba he can only play as a power forward, and no one would let him play in that position (maybe in golden state). Now think again, do you want him in your team? We already got mcgrady, we dont need another epic failure players.
