    Whatever It Takes

A we noted yesterday, over the weekend John McCain's campaign leaked word he would release a major new economic policy aimed at the middle class. It later ended up to be aimed at investors. And then a few hours later the campaign scrapped the idea of releasing a new economic plan entirely.

Now word comes that in place of a new economic policy they're releasing a new stump speech.

"My friends, we've got them just where we want them," McCain will say.

I like to look at individual polls instead of aggregates.

Here are how the pollsters did last election. Some polls are way way off. Gallup/Fox/Zogby polls were very off.

I like 270towin.com. You can do the same thing.

    I've got it...

    Obama 320
    McCain 218

That's with giving McCain IN, OH, WV, VA, & MO.

I'm watching the current McCain-Palin rally. His new speech is not going to be a game-changer.

If the third debate has a similar dynamic to the other two, the Repubs will quickly go into "every man for himself and Sarah for Sarah most of all" mode and his campaign's vitality will further erode.

I personally don't see Obama winning N. Dakota, but there was an article about it today at the daily dish. (I tend to look at realclearpolitics more than the others, especially now that they've been accused of cherry picking polls that favor mccain. If the pro-right polls still show obama w/ a comfortable lead, gg.)

    Obama 306
    McCain 232

I think McCain's window has closed now. Obama's infomercial plus the Halloween weekend just runs out the clock on McCain.

OK, with Missouri officially in McCain's column, that makes the EV numbers 365-173. Let's use this self-congratulatory post to examine the predictions of those that voted...

    The winners were:

Batman Jones, buckaroo, JuanValdez, rodrick_98, and me, rimrocker.

We were the only 5 out of 70 who ended up in the right column. Good job folks... and me.

This was the first of these threads. I think there was a second, which I'll try and find in the next few minutes.
