Yeah but the only votes that count are from the people that voted.
How many of those 300 million are not eligible, underage, felons, lazy, stupid, etc...?!

There is no absolute way to throw those other people in the mix, albeit very optimistic way to look at it Jeff.

And even then, electorial votes are all that matter.

Everyone talks about N Korea being a threat...but if we had gone in there pre-emptively, you guys would have been saying that we had no reason for going in. This is why the doctrine of preemption is the right way.

Exactly, we are going to run out of oil people this is a fact. It's unbelievable how little progress we've made using safer, cleaner, and more renewable sources of energy. I mean it's not like we just found out yesterday that there a limited supply of fossil fuels.

if you have traveled outside of the country in the last year or so you would see that we have lost respect/honor. i dont see hatred for american people, but definately for the bush administration.

talk to people in other countries and most are completely befuddled as to how dubya is our leader.

Or perhaps most people don't agree with your views?

    Shocking, I know.

Some thoughts, and then I'm going to try to stay out of here for a long time. Ever since the invasion of Iraq, I've been glued to the news sites and debates in here, spending (wasting?) hours every day.

When considering the possibility of a Kerry loss, I kept reminding myself that I must respect the system. And I do.

Chance was right- there are a lot more conservatives in this country than we liberals think. That's just the truth. With a massive voter turnout that should have boosted Kerry, the opposite happened. The people have spoken, and there are three or four million more voters that want Bush than want Kerry.

I'm surprised, sad, frustrated... I had a hard time ever really believing that Bush could get re-elected after so many mistakes. But if there's anything to be learned from the debates that rage in this forum, it's that no matter what the record states, conservatives and liberals are going to stick with their guy because he best represents their system of values. I think after seeing Bush with a comfortable popular majority this morning, and the Repubs gaining four seats in the House and Senate, it's clear that people of conservative values are the majority in this country. So, power to them! Our demorcracy deems it so.

Conservatives now have the extraordinary opportunity to extend their majority in all three branches of government to a full eight years. Certainly, they have the confidence that they can make this country better. After these eight years noone can say they didn't have the opportunity. Let's see what they make of it.

Congratulations to conservatives here at the BBS and in America, it's a quite a victory for y'all. I'm skulking away in defeat for a while. See you in GARM.

unfortunately, i see it the opposite. now that he doesnt have to worry about getting reelected he will be able to persue his extremist agenda with full force.

i would have definately voted for mccain over kerry, or any other candidate for that matter.

Riiight...so you give a post of contradictory and discredited assumptions and provide no links or background other than your half-hearted reference to the 911 report in the last post.

Here is one for ya--the 911 report also tells how Clinton handed the entire planned operation, just WAITING for the go-ahead from W and his cabinet to strike OBL with cruise missles in a KNOWN location.

But, you are soooo right--911 is all Willy Clinton's fault. Can you expect to be taken seriously by parroting this accusation? Will you be doing this for the next four years as Bush stumbles through his lame-duck term? Will is still be Clinton's fault if the Bushies can't produce OBL on a platter?

I don't care if the people don't agree, what bothers me is what they're basing their opinions on. I will not begrudge someone their views but when a canididate blatantly says JC is my idol, or they're the proponent for God, then I have a major problem with it. There is a separation of church and state in this country. If it was up to me any candidate who so much mentioned God, Allah, JC, or anyone else in an attempt to sway voters would automatically be thrown out of the running. Have differing views but when you're basing the fate of a nation on them have your views based on facts not religion.
