Well the sun did come up today and I dragged my ass to work. And I will tomorrow and the next day.

I woke up this morning weeping. I weep for our great country. I am so demoralized, so depressed. I feel beaten down, marginalized. I don't know what to do.

Gonna take a long break from the board. Take care all.

I concede, looks like we're stuck with Bush for the next 4 years. Great... :(

Marginalized? Are you color-blind for red?

    MC,

Don't get down my man, the country voted, the majority won. We must hold our head high and continue to participate.

No harm in running a good race and losing.

So if Bush wins, who is the Republican party's likely candidates in 2008? What about the Democrats?

Rudy vs Hillary seems like the ideal matchup, but usually it's people that are't that obvious.

I would definitely vote for us having our first woman president. I think she would have to be heavily guarded though, more so than usual presidents due to some idiots thinking that only rich, white males can lead this country.

I think Hillary needs a great PR person workign with her ASAP. She is obviosly very bright but she seems to pull some crazy antics (rolling her eyes and not paying attention to Bush's speech after 9/11). So I think she may be ready but she needs alot of polish.

But I will tell you I think it would be a bad matchup vs. Rudy. Rudy I see as someone who woudl be almost Reagan-like in his appeal to the middle. Most importantly he may be able to take NY state away from teh Democrats.

So maybe I'm just too high on Rudy but I would love to see him running in 2008. The other likley front runner is McCain who also appeals to the middle.

So those are the 2 I like the best from the republican side. However I wouldn't be shocked to see Rudy or mcCain have to fight it out with a more extreme Republican to get the nomination.

    basso,

It was a great victory for America.

I find it funny that the Democrats are whining about Ohio and trying to pull another Sore Loserman.

Even if Kerry won all of the 130,000 provisional ballots (which he has 0% chance of doing), he'd still lose Ohio. Not to mention that generally over 20% of these ballots are invalidated for one reason or another according to history.

    Jeb
    Rudy
Arnold -- need to amend a couple of things first
    Frist
    Thune

Lots of choices for the party. Let's savor the Triumphant Day for now, there is plenty of time to speculate what we will do in FOUR MORE YEARS.

What time did Rather finally call it a night and go to sleep last night?

You know Michael Moore is really pissed. He apparently had cameras at different polling places all over the state of Florida and it apparently ran rather smoothly by all accounts.
