Futures contracts for Bush are now going for $81.5 (with $100 at expiration for the election winner). Kerry's are going for 17.5.
the swing has been unreal today.....day started out with bush at 55.. then went down to about 28 for a while and now at 81....unreal
Something like 30% of all votes in FL are early/absentee. I don't know if that's counted or not. But it's not looking too good for jfk there. In other news, the gap between the two in OH is about equal to the spread between them in Cleveland - which is half in. Ceteris paribus, that makes it very interesting. That's the last bullet in the JFK gun though. Too bad because I may have to turn it on myself.
I'd like to thank my people for their efforts. Hispanics, you have done the Lord's work today. A hearty thank you to all Hispanics who voted.
why is local news getting so much time tonight? i'm flipping back and forth across the big 4 and getting way too much local activity. i wanna see brokaw, jennings, rather, and smith and all the current ECV tallies. i know there are local races and props to worry about but lets worry about them less. man it's crazy how close some of these states are. edit: the guy in the coor's commercials, pete coors, is running for senator in CO? didn't know that. edit edit: where does alaska stand. is it a solid state for one of the candidates?
AK is all republican. Daily kos, for whatever its worht, says 1 million absentee/early votes stil to be counted in FL. Could that possibly be true?
If 17% of 40% of possible voters turned out in 2000... and If 17% of 60% of possible voters turned out in 2004... Then... More young people showed up to vote. The off set is that more older voters showed up also.
Hey, Will , this will probably be down if/when you ever read this, but: Dewey defeats Truman? c'mon guys....stop teasing us.
