Biden is doing worse than hilary in some parts. He got lucky. If she had just hit Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania much harder she could have won. What biden ran on needs to reexamined.
thats murica and politics. you know that. 4 years is a long time trump lost this in last 200 days..i get your point but you this is great news man... if what you are saying as commish of predictions means its over!!! dont be a debbie downer do you realize how glorious this is?! a trump win would have been better? biden be like
That I cannot agree fully though. Sleepy Joe is more than not polarizing, he is likable and too boring. They underestimated that being boring and not banking on the economy part could actually lose you the election. The Covid agenda was overstressed and while it was important, it was not as relevant to Americans than it is to the Europeans for instance. This fact was really shocking.
all this “we’re better than that” or “this isn’t who we are as a country” talk from Democrats doesn’t resonate...we’re not better than that, and this is exactly who we are as a nation please stop it with the old, washed politicians with questionable records like Hillary and Biden who have been in office for decades and running a “decency and morality” platform...focus should be on policy Unless u really sat down and did research, did people really know what Biden’s policies are? On the surface, all u might have known is that he’ll raise taxes on those making over 400k, he says he’s against fracking, and he’s not for the Green New Deal. nobody was catching what he was saying on Zoom or through random little speeches that you’d only even know went on if u happened to see a tweet that mentioned it...maybe if he’d been able to hold regular, pre-Covid type rallies, things would’ve been different turnout would not have been this high on the Democratic side if Trump wasn’t hated so much...turnout should be high because of enthusiasm for the actual candidate, not because he’s “the lesser of 2 evils” time for the Democrats to start doing some major propaganda of their own and focusing on how incompetent the Republicans are policy-wise, not how hypocritical or devoid of morals they are...I mean, the GOP is doing better on the economy with the public when the economy has tanked under the last 2 Republican Presidents...
Effectively 47-47 since the two independents are liberal. I'd be tempted to give Alaksa to the Rs as well since Sullivan appears to be cruising, so 48-47. It all hinges on Maine, Michigan, NC, and Georgia x2 now. Dems need 4 of those 5, effectively. It's very likely it ends up at 50/50 and the new most powerful person on Earth is Joe ****in' Manchin.
Let's not forget Donald Trump is not going to win this election so I'm not sure what you're talking about. Trump's message only resonates with Trump supporters. Hillary made the mistake of going after Republican strongholds while neglecting the blue wall and that's the only reason why she didn't win. She had a bad campaign. but Donald Trump is not going to win this election so his message obviously didn't work. And if he does lose this election he'll be the one of the first presidents if not the first president that had a great economy before the election and still lost. That's how unpopular he really is.
Great, great take. Dem leaders also need to start investing in media as well. Republicans have been doing it for a long time, have Facebook, AM radio, Fox News, Sinclair, Etc and Dems have so little. Hell, @tinman’s boy, Jeff Bezos, is at least trying with the Washington Post and possibly CNN. Twitter can’t be the main go to point for the left, but what else is there...Reddit? Forums like these?
That's what you get when tons of independents are voting against sitting spreader in chief but not for the Democratic "agenda" items. This was the only way to win back the presidency against a sitting president who stoked our worst impulses (want of entertainment and financial benefits and none of that depressing outside-of-US world souring the mood). If only Biden was a little younger, maybe they'd have the Senate then. I'll take the win of executive and then see if Biden can figure out how to unite the country over some better values. Hopefully Trump fades over some scandal like divorce or bankruptcy.
Not necessarily. Since you like Rocket analogies so much it's like this: The Rockets are up over the Knicks by 30 with Harden and Westbrook having great games. Chris Clemons comes in and the Rockets end up winning by 36. You want to give Clemons credit for that when the foundation was already there. Yes he helped keep it and improve it but it was already good.
lol this is the equivalent of the Rockets being up 20 against the Warriors then they start calling all the fouls. Trump was cruising in WI and MI and magically overnight troves of ballots that were in favor of Biden (none for Trump) turn up and get counted. *Biden/Harris
CNN and the rest spend all day talking about the latest bad thing Trump said...the segments on his incompetence policy-wise are few and far between Trump has negative job growth because of Covid, and had less job growth pre-Covid than Obama, but you’d swear Trump was crushing Obama The economy didn't substantially add jobs early on in Bush's presidency. But it started picking up until the 2008 financial crisis. The Obama administration moved to stem those job losses early on in his term, and the economy stabilized in 2010. With the recovery underway, employers added jobs, coming out to an average of 224,000 gains per month in Obama's last three years. Job growth during the Trump presidency had mostly matched its pace under Obama before 2020. In the first three years up to February, the economy added 182,000 jobs monthly on average. Obama handed Trump a good economy...Obama got handed a sh*t economy from Bush, and if Biden wins, he’ll be inheriting a sh*t economy from Trump but nah, let’s do 10 segments on a Trump tweet... focus on policy and incompetence...the public doesn’t care about decorum or decency...GOP with 1 of the biggest hypocritical stances in history with the Supreme Court, and nobody cares...Dems didn’t really fight it, and the GOP base gave no fcks Democrats need to wake up
I feel like lost in all this is how it’s really, *really* hard to defeat incumbent presidents. The last few times it’s happened have taken generationally-talented challengers in Clinton and Reagan (before that, you really have to go back to FDR). Biden certainly wasn’t that, but Trump has been such a dumpster fire that he blew what at the beginning of this year was supposed to be a layup for him.
White crime rose because Trump and his admin were out here COMMITTING all the crimes, hahaha. Once again, Trump is playing 4D chess y'all!
Mail in votes counted last, per the dictum of Republicans led governments in those states. Get with the program and pull your pants up.
