There are many ballot propositions that contradict some of this. We don't know how those places would respond to spamming ads of liberals explaining their proggesive ideas to remove the curtain in front of the boogyman to these people. Like make the damn case instead of just spamming platitudes of unity and not being Trump.
I was thinking about this and rethinking my Abrams for Cabinet post...not really a position there that would allow her to shine and do what she did in Georgia. Instead, they ought to give her the DNC chair for 2 years (I think she wants to run for governor again) and run with it. Let her be the face on TV and everywhere like she was in GA. I think that would help with messaging and hopefully begin to consolidate this party.
and biden is a known one termer.. like you said and its literally best analogy ever " interim head coach" this is like getting that dude to leave his cabbage field to save rome. became emperor then went back to being a farmer. @rocketsjudoka can tell the story more eloquently
The problem is Democrats should focus on few things. Healthcare and jobs. Everything else should be secondary. Trump gained votes from minorities. Biden if he wins is going to win by a very narrow margin. Don't focus on Green new deal or Defunding police or whatever.
Shout out to RayRay10. May we all continue liking each other's posts. It keeps our group strong! Haha.
What frustrates me most about how trash the Democrats are at messaging is that I don’t see it changing any time soon. I don’t think they get it.
They are so afraid of their own base. They care far more about persuading the other side than ecxiting their base. The black vote came out because they were scared shitless about Trump and rightfully so. Don't they think that might play into some factor into why conservatives are far more active participants in voting? They hear their politicians pander to them all the ****ing time while Biden is ******** on proggesive ideas because he's deathly afraid of the "persuadable conservative".
THIS! We pay bills on-line. We can submit our income taxes on-line. We should be able to safely vote on-line. So many problems (that I don't believe really exist to significant extent currently) could be completely avoided shifting to an on-line vote. More importantly, it will increase participation, and increase safety.
I like that idea...anyone that can craft a good message and present it to the American people in an easily digestible way...anyone that can effectively let the people know what the Democratic positions actually are and not just throw out dumb slogans I seriously think voters in Florida didn’t even know Biden was for $15 minimum wage...he hardly mentioned it...come to find out the vast majority of Floridians are in favor it
The key to what I said though is “If the primary goal is getting Trump out” when you are looking at the path to 270 from an EC perspective. I would say that Biden, while strong with the EC, might have actually hurt some down ballots because of the suburban normal Republicans were splitting the vote just to keep their conservative card with their friends at the country club. There’s just no way to tell what could have happened if Bernie would have been the candidate and you had every down ballot running the same platform. But to my point about the EC, we weren’t crazy when voters like myself made that call back on Super Tuesday when we made that decision that getting Trump out was priority #1. Next election cycle I hope we have more faith in our electoral process where you can just focus on values and not have that be used to put a fascist psychotic cult leader back in power.
its still early. lots of time later to form solid opinions. people coming down to earth ( me included) that it would be a landslide. i was off but more I look at it ( call it rationalization) i see a lot of positives and more just realities. as we are saying here that made biden less attractive. it comes down preferences..old people are ok getting screwed if they can be stubborn fu*cks latching on to some turd. i do find it weird that old people getting policies against them then voting trump to be curious. guys like my dad and that generation born in that era late 40s. dems need to work on getting even more folks to vote. that should be their "base"
"So Don Jr. calls out Lindsey Graham on twitter yesterday and within several hours, Graham has dumped $500k into Trump's reelection campaign and then goes on Fox News to say the PA state legislature should nominate Trump's electors even if Biden wins the popular vote in Pennsylvania. Is it even a question that Trump has dirt on Graham?"
completely agree...healthcare is something the Democrats will win over Republicans easily...Republicans stay trying to take away people’s healthcare the economy...somehow Republicans have convinced people that their tax strategy is the best and that they’re amazing with the economy like the economy hasn’t tanked under their watch twice since the turn of this century and Democrats don’t create many more jobs instead Democrats spend so much time talking about morals, decency, etc or how the GOP is dishonest or hypocritical...America doesn’t give a damn about that...that should be abundantly clear to them by now
That's Cincinnatus. He was a Roman general in the very early republic of Rome in the 5th C. He was granted dictatorial powers when Rome was invaded and left his field to take up absolute rule of Rome during the crisis. As soon as the crisis was over he stepped down and went back to finish his field.
and the thing is, progressive ideas are popular and could help them gain votes if they were able to message them effectively instead, they allow everything to be labeled radical, socialist, Marxist, or communist, but then it quietly gets put on the ballot in some state and passes with ease
Same my friend...just have to keep giving love to the fam in the D&D. We don’t always agree, but at least we keep it mostly civil.
