dumb question I can't remember the answer to. If a candidate wins a state, does that mean he gets all the electoral votes or is it split independent of that?
Nebraska and Maine split theirs kind of. One electoral vote goes to the winner in each congressional district and the rest go to the winner of the state popular vote. All other states are winner take all.
CNN really does the best job of covering election night. Everything else is boring in comparison. Watching cnn is like being bombarded with key race alerts, intense rock music, and and wolf blitzer yelling at me 24/7
Most states, yes. There are some districts in like 3 states that award electoral votes by the district.
I'm watching CNN and it says he is up by 66,000 votes with 91% reporting. WTF? I'm seriously trying to find a good source as it seems like everyone is saying something other than what they're showing on CNN. I'm a liberal btw so this Florida crap is driving me crazy.
