The way the McCain is going, they're probably calling folks during dinner time and pissing people off more. This just makes them look more desperate... false character attacks now? Incredibly weak. Events and Obama's campaign have completely changed the dynamic. They can't comprehend that and are still running like it's 1988. It's not going to work.
He raised money because concerned people all across America realized what a SCREWED UP BS job that the Republican party has done over the last 8 years under Bush, and we all realize....Dems and independents like me, that we have to toss them out on their ARSE to get them to go back to their conservative roots. This election was too important to lose and get another 4 years of incompetent leadership, so money was spent hand over fist to get Obama, an INTELLIGENT leader in the Whitehouse to fix all the mess that Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld left behind. McCain is just in the way......at this point. DD
Hour long waits today in NC. http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/1008/Voting_begins_in_North_Carolina.html?showall
Thanks Faos I just dropped another $100 on Obama! Here's the link if you're interested. We need 100,000 new donors before midnight Friday. https://donate.barackobama.com/page...?match_campaign_id=16&source=20081016_JB_D1_X
It's not just having raised record amounts of cash, mostly via the internet and small donations, but how he's using it. After all, Hillary Clinton raised and spent an incredible amount of money during the primaries. The amount of money she raised attempting to get the nomination would have been a record in any other political season. She lost. Yes, it was close, but she still lost. Barack Obama is not only raising record amounts of cash... he is running a brilliant campaign. I don't always agree with what he's doing, but you cannot argue with the results.
Yeah, I sent money for the first time myself last week.I figure it's time for me to be a part of the campaign instead of just sitting on the sidelines.
Interesting diary at kos... http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/10/16/1401/3579/969/632632 The number of Black viewers for the debates was staggeringly high.
Anyone see Letterman drop the G Gordon Liddy bomb on McCain? That was freaking priceless. McCain looked like he was about to stroke out.
Apparently Liddy served his time, though he actually didn't because his sentence was commuted, so it's okay to be friends with convicted terrorists. It's the ones that don't get convicted that are a problem apparently.
True. I found this 92 debate today. Interesting how the message from the dems seems to be the same. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ffbFvKlWqE I gotta admit though, pappa Bush didn't seem to be clueless like his son....
score one for democrats! via TPM -- Supreme Court Sides With Dems On Ohio Voting Case The Supreme Court sided with Ohio's Democratic Secretary of State, who's in a dispute with the state GOP over voting. Reports the AP: The ruling could make it easier to vote for thousands of Ohioans whose voter registration information did not match up with other government records. And the McCain campaign has already responded. On a conference call with reporters just now, campaign manager Rick Davis said: "If you look at what the ruling said, it said that the Republican party didn't have standing in order to bring the suit, it didn't make a deicion on the merits of the case." Davis added: "I think that the Secretary of State ought to do her job."
