Acutally if Yao entered draft in 2002, Wizard would have the chance to pick Yao instead of Kwan Brown. I think that's where the comments is coming from
This is a bad trade for BOTH teams! TMac can't carry a team anymore by himself. He knows it and is enjoying deferring to Yao ...it's his only chance for a ring. AI would need to take a backseat to Yao and for a no-nonsense coach. No way any party involved, players, coaches, management or even the fans would accept this trade.
I like what you have to say, wanting to post the same thing but afraid people around here might label me a YOF. Hey....but wait a minute, I'm already a harcore YOF, been that way since Yao first got here and I took all kinds of abuse for that. Never mind, carry on!
I disagree. This season so far, Yao's variety of moves have been just as dominating as Kareem's sky hook. Kareem didn't make every sky hook and there were games he would miss several in a row. The only thing holding Yao back from equaling Kareem (for just this season) is his consistency. JVG was right by strongly implying that when Yao is defended legally, he is unstoppable. People, at this moment in time, don't sell Yao's offense short compared to any center except Wilt. He isn't as athletic as the greats were but when he gets the ball in scoring position, Yao is as good as anyone at closing the sale (i.e, hitting the shot or drawing the foul).
