I hope that is true. I would hope we give Eddie another shot. I wish him the best.

We'd be relieved to see him perform in a Rockets uni.
Relieved of that sick feeling of watching Richard Jefferson in the playoffs.

I don't see what the big deal about not having a source is. yes it would be great and more creditable, but do you really think someone will waste thier time to come post a topic that is not at all true. Yeah there are some but I dont automaticlly assume it because he doesent have a source. Now with that said ,Hurry up with that souce ;)

Yes...it happens all the time. They do it because they are either trolls, attention whores, or they just don't know any better.

It doesnt surprise me that a lot of teams would be willing to take a chance on him now .. He is going to be relatively cheap, and having gone through what he has I truly believe he is going to be better prepared to deal with his problems next go around.

Let's hope the Rockets(or another team if we can't get him) take him back and give him the support that he needs to become a productive member of a team and can turn his life around.

I hope he's right too. I think we need to give Eddie another chance before some team like the Spurs pick him up and he gives us hell every time we play them. Besides that, this team is gonna need defensive big men after we trade Cato because Howard and Taylor shore ain't gonna play D any time this side of the 22nd century. We gotta have at least one big that can play some D besides Yao. Otherwise, Yao is just foul trouble waiting to happen every night.

I think one thing that would speak against this being made up is that NBAHOU713 is a contributing member...so Clutch would know his real name (I think). Previous trolls who made up stories did so under the (falsely assumed) veil of anonymity (the name Troy Baros comes to mind)...

This being said, it does seem HIGHLY unlikely to me that this is true. From the appearance of it, the likeliest answer would be that NBAHOU713 indeed heard this, but that someone misinterpreted things on the way to NBAHOU713 (perhaps John Lucas said to his daughter, damn this guy has been working really hard, the way he played, the Rockets should give him another shot, then she went and told NBAHOU713 that Griffin gets another shot...you know how these things happen).

I never like jumping all over new posters. The story sounds legit enough to think about. Besides, what would we have to loose by giving him another shot (small money of course). John works with all sorts of "troubled" ballers. Why should Eddie be any different.

I kept thinking last season how much better we would have been with a "sane" eddie in the lineup. i would welcome him back if he would come--ready to play!

EG should be calling the Bobcats, imho. They should have loads of playing time.

Well we've known since early May that Eddie has been working with John Lucas:

    http://bbs2.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=77526

I was seeking clarification on the sentence "apparently the Rockets have asked [Eddie] to come back". That's obviously quite different and with nothing posted to back that, we should seek clarification.

    T-who, Eddie's coming back baby!

I can just feel it. That would actually be the best news.

seriously i wouldnt post anything that in untrue. There is plenty of stuff that i've heard from her thats happen, but I never posted them for this reason. Anything that a newcomer posts, gets dawg by the guys thats been in here for a while. Theres no point in arguing though.

Hey man, I hope you post anything you get. Some of us read through a lot of bologna anyways, might as well read something from you that has a chance of being true. There is a lot of junk on here and it is sad that somebody gets dogged even when they have a legit story. Please keep posting.
