At first when i read this thread thought everybody was being sarcastic until i read the date  Wow, people were really solid on this guy. Trading 5 draft picks for him!

Looking at Eddie now and Jeffeson, I honestly think that the coaching staff are responsible for the play of Griffin. They have no clue how to develope talent. I mean come on the guy can't be that bad, and the team has so much talent with the addition of Yao too not to make the playoffs.

I believe if Eddie was at New Jersey now he probably would be a star and we would be running Jefferson out of the city by now. Rudy and staff, it is time for a change.

His rookie season when he had that big 25 points, 13 rebounds, and 4 blocks against the Lakers, it looked like he had superstar written all over him. If you find the answer to whats wrong with him, let me know. I still don't want to give up on him, but please work on your shot!!

I think if somehow RIchard Jefferson is available, we should draft him. IMO, this guy will turn out better than Eddie Griffin.

i like this thread because often when i see people talking about what a mistake the rockets made trading richard jefferson i want to slap them.

nobody who says that would have suggested the rockets take richard jefferson and pass on eddie griffin on the day they made that trade. nobody. and as a matter of fact, i'd bet 90% of the people who rant about what a mistake it was and how horrible the front office is were high fiving each other when the trade was announced. (I know me and my pops were)

i still haven't given up entirely on eddie. he's so young. i just keep thinking how many years it took jermaine o'neal to come around. or hell, look at chauncey billups. how many years was he in the nba before he developed into a decent player? it takes alot of guys a quite some time to adjust to the nba. hopefully eddie will.

I haven't given up on Eddie either, and I'll admit, I was one of the happier campers the day we got him. I actually scream "YEEAAAHHHHH!" really loud when they announced the trade.
