Um, we can sign him to the minimum. We just have to pay both contracts. That's also NOT the reason why nobody signed him before NJ. The reason for that is because he's an idiot who nobody wants to take a chance on, as is proven after the NJ signing. So HA HA HA Nets.

    Go see Undercover Brother.

I am still trying to figure out how, after punching a girl and SHOOTING A FRIGGIN GUN AT HER, you get probation on a misdemeanor charge.

I wonder what I would get sentenced with if I shot at my girlfriend.

I KNEW Eddie wouldn't get prison time. I would LIKE to think he could change and be a contributor to this team again as some of his skills are needed, but I really have my doubts he can make a 180.

Right. But I'll bet you would love to have Artest, R. Wallace, Bare Bryant, etc. etc.

If he can get his act together, give the kid a chance. We've already invested three draft choices in him. Sheesh, a very significant portion of the basketball players are tattooed misfits (and thugs) anyway. Look at Iverson, look at..... But that doesn't stop me from loving the game itself or ignoring the possibility a person -- any person -- can redeem himself/herself.

Maybe when he gets his license back he will get drunk and run a redlight then refuse the field sobriety test when he is pulled over. Sound familiar with another former Rocket "winner"?

I do not know all the info hear.

However, I would just hope that CD and Co. have monitored the situation and have or will reconsider the team's position now that his legal problem are resolved. Obviously the treatment is on-going as is the case with Baker. I see a role this team can play in the full rehab of EG.

When I think that we have to rely so heavily on Padgett, Spoon, MoT and Oakley, I long for EG to get back if it is at all possible. For a team that always wanted to bring back Pig, EG should be real attractive.

There's one problem though. All of the players you've mention have, what's that word again? Oh yeah, talent. They established reputations as players FAR before they established reputations as criminals.

Eddie Griffin has talent. Even his worst critics recognize that. His talent level may not be as high as some expected, but he has talent. Saying otherwise is to ignore reality just to express bitterness. The bitterness can be justified. Saying he has no talent cannot be justified.

Right! YOU ALL LEAVE EG ALONE! Let him take care of his bidness. Sheesh! ;) No more phone calls at wee hours of the morning, and no more just stopping by without calling.

You are correct. It would be nice to hire him for $30K a year as a "basketball consultant." This would give him employment with the Rockets and yet not commit the Rockets to his player status. He would be thankful to the Rockets organization and would have time to get his act together.
