Finally someone speaks the truth. I mean, come on. Some of you guy's actually sound like you feel sorry for the guy. Oh Yeah, I feel real sorry for him. I sure am glad I stopped growing at 6'1- 1/2". I would hate to have to go through what he is, All the headaches of what to do with my millions, Which color Bentley to buy next, and all this at the ripe old age of 21. Man, When I was a kid I Ate, Drank, and Breathed Basketball, And like a lot of you guy's, I'd play for the league minimum, hell I'd play for half the league Minimum just to be able to do something I love.. So The way I see it, Let's not cut any of these guy's any slack, Eddie, Kobe, Whoever, They need to realize that they are Privlaged to do what they do, and they should feel extremely lucky we come to see them play..... Go Rockets, With or Without EG.. reguardless the pajamas, I'll always bleed Red and Gold.
exactly. he's not depressed because he smokes pot, he smokes pot because he's depressed. if that's even the case....
I think EG's problem is 100% fixable!he's still about 21 years old and has a lot to learn. i think if anyone can turn him around, it's JVG! Eddie Griffin STILL has all star potential and i believe he eventually will be.
thank you, RM95. when you hit that level, you turn to whatever helps to mask what you're feeling. some pick alcohol, others do blow, some pick weed, etc. but the bottom line is that you don't want to deal with whatever is ailing you, and probably have no clue how to deal with it even if you wanted to do so.
And even when you know what you should do, it takes a huge step to do the right thing. Both of my sisters have or are currently suffering from depression. They both have had a really hard time actually taking the necessary steps to fix the problem. Hopefully Eddie is doing it right now.
I understand guys, but that does not mean it is not stupid. Just because you are depressed is not an excuse to be stupid. Sure, I can understand how he could turn to that, but that does not change the stupidity factor. You can still be understanding and recognize it as a screw up. DD
It seems that if Van Gundy left him to sort out his own problems, and it "was up to Eddie to return", that it was not a substance abuse case, or atleast not known to the Rockets organization. I highly doubt that if any of the Rockets players knew he had a substance abuse problem that they would have just let him try and work it out on his own. He is a 21 year old kid who's brother and best friend died a couple years ago. I'm guessing it's a form of depression. That's my thoughts......
no. indeed. he has not made the wisest decisions; however, if i am correct about the source of his problems, then his mistakes are 100% forgivable...that is, assuming he continues to do the right thing.
Whatever it is that's wrong with him hope he fixes his problems soon. its said that its for emotional reasons! Hope errthang is alright!
